Christmas Dinner at Misericordia at 6300 North Ridge Avenue, Chicago
I had the privileged of attended a Christmas Dinner at Misericordia at 6300 North Ridge Avenue , in Chicago.
This is my friend Tommy, who lives at Misericordia.

It was a night where you are served a great dinner, and some of residents sang Christmas Carols, and put on a Christmas Play in the dining room.
Before, and after dinner you were invited to purchase bakery goods that the residents made.
In addition there were gift shops with homemade items, such as jewelry, scarfs, sweaters and beautiful paintings.
Misericordia offers a community of care to help persons with mild to profound developmental disabilities, many of whom are also physically challenged.
Misericordia also serves the families who want the best for them, yet cannot provide it at home. The grounds are sprawled out on 31-acre’s.
Misericordia currently serves more than 600 children and adults from diverse racial, religious and sociology-economic backgrounds. Twenty percent of our residents either come from poverty families or have no families and are wards of the State.
