Lone Tree CO Parks and Trails - Featuring Bluffs Regional Trail

Lone Tree Colorado - Lone Tree Trails - Featuring Bluffs Regional Park Trail

Bluffs Regional Park Trail

Featuring a Lone Tree Trail - Bluffs Regional Park Trail which is tucked behind some large homes of Herigage Hills Estates and Carriage Club subdivisions. The main trailhead is located south of Lincoln on Yosemite (which changes to Ridgegate Parkway at Lincoln). The trailhead is half a mile south of Lincoln and there is a sign to take a right past Heritage Hills Estates to enter the Bluffs Trail. There are three other ways to get on the trail, through paths that join the trail behind Heritage Hills Estates(1) and Carriage Club (2) subdivisions. This Lone Tree trail doesn't wind through the Rocky Mountains but it offers some spectacular views and has such an easy access without the long drive to get there.

Bluffs Regional Park Trail in Lone Tree CO

Bluffs Regional Trail is a 2.7 mile loop winding throughout the 253-acre Bluffs Regional Park. This is a fairly easy trail. There are some hills up, and some down, balancing the trail out nicely. The total elevation is approximately 200 feet. The width of the trail is really nice and wide and you can easily use a jogger stroller. Now it may be a bit of a challange to jog with the stroller up some of the hills, but hey it's a great workout! The trail isn’t paved, but the surface is fairly smooth and hard, no big loose rocks or large dips either.

There are a few benches along the trail and there are 2 overlook spots which offer excellent views to all directions. The trail forks in two places to the paths to the lookout spots. If you visit both of the overlooks and go around the 2.7 mile loop the whole distance for your excursion would be 3.9 miles.

If you feel like some more exercise, there are connections to other Highlands Ranch Trails, and there will be future connections with the East-West Trail. (The East-West trail is going to be 26 miles long and will connect Chatfield State Park In Littleton with the town of Parker.)

Bluffs Regional Park Trail in Lone Tree CO

We recently ran the trail, with our 7-yr-old, on a nice overcast morning. The trail was not crowded, there were mostly walkers, some with dogs some with strollers, and some runners and a few bikers. We did see some evidence of occasional horse having visited the trail...

If you bring your four-legged friend they do need to be leashed and picked up after.

You will see some beautiful views all around. As in most if not all of the local trails you will see warning signs of rattle snakes, but at least in a cool overcast day as we had, we did not see any.

If you have not visited the Bluffs Regional Park Trail yet, and are looking for a new trail to explore, give the Bluffs Trail a try. And remember to bring a camera along for some great shots!

MORE

In general newer homes with upgrades (stainless steel appliances, cherry cabinets, finished basement etc.) tend to sell faster and for higher price / square foot.

What this means to the sellers: Spring time traditionally sees a large increase in number of homes that come on the market. Pricing your home right is one of the main factors in getting your home sold in the least amount of time and for the most amount of money.

What this means to the buyers: This is a great time to buy! Intrest Rates are good and there are many homes to choose from and the prices are good.

All data is compiled from METROLIST (Denver MLS - multiple listing service).

The market Report is for residential single family homes. Condominiums or town homes were not included in this report.
