Right now I am in the country of Romania. In the past 10 years, I have come to this country 14 times for various missions. The economic downturn or "crisis" has affected the people of this country as well. For those of you who do not know where the country is located, it is located on the Black Sea in Eastern Europe (the other side of the globe from America).
How can this place share the same economic strife as we do? Simple, our country sets the tone for the world market. If Americans spend less, everybody around the world will make less money. If everybody around the world makes less money, then they spend less money. If everybody spends less money.... you get the idea, right? The "Obama Stimulus" could help our economy and in turn help the world.... or it could backfire and send the world economy spinning into oblivion.
The point I'm trying to make is that it doesn't matter where you live. Americans are not the only people suffering. Times were already tough here in Romania before the downturn. The difference between us and them is that they are used to hard times and expect nothing more out of life. Perhaps we should do the same.

Bravo OPPD!
According to WOWT Channel 6 in Omaha, OPPD will be changing the way Omaha "powers up" by the year 2020 through the use of wind farms in Crawford, Crofton and Bloomfield. Best news of all in my opinion is that this move forward into a greener nebraska will be at no extra cost to OPPD customers!
The news story also says that OPPD will have "energy-efficiency incentives for customers."

Most new homes come with an 11 month warranty that requires you, the homeowner, to review the home and submit your findings to their warranty department. This is a good plan. One problem: unless you are a home inspector, you won't have all the knowledge and tools you need to perform a proper evaluation of your home.
Your first step in properly evaluating your home for your warranty should be an inspection by The BrickKicker Inspection Service. Hiring a qualified professional to do your inspection will give you the upper hand when handling your warranty work! Instead of handing a piece of paper with a list of things you "think" might be wrong with your home, you could have an entire comprehensive report with pictures from an industry leader in quality home inspections.
The specialized industry tools a "good" home inspector uses cost on average $2.5k (fyi: these tools are not just screwdrivers and hammers that the average homeowner has laying around). The BrickKicker has gone a few large steps past the average and has many tools that will not only enlighten, but excite you during your inspection. Not to mention the training and certification, professional computerized reports with pictures, and insurance for the consumers' protection.
It is in your best interest to hire a qualified home inspector when it comes to warranty work. It is for your protection and piece of mind.
As an inspector, I would hope the answer would be a commanding "Yes!"
With the technology and education out there for home inspectors, your inspector would have to be exceptionally antisocial and/or a massive ignoramus for you to believe they can't help you.
However, some of my clients have mentioned that their past inspections were not nearly as informative. This inspired me to conduct an online poll.
