My Life

I was born and raised in Plymouth England. I served 10 years in the Royal Air Force as weapons technician. I spent many years travelling around europe and the US while in the Air Force. I have been listing and selling real estate in Montrose since 1990. I have closed over 500 transactions during that time. My experience is second to none. I was voted salesperson of the year in 2003 by the members of the Montrose Association of Realtors. Every Thursday morning from 1994 to 2010 I ran the Montrose Multiple Listing Service weekly meetings. In 2008 I moved to the number one company in town Coldwell Banker Bailey & Co. I look forward to helping people find the home or lot they have been dreaming about, whether it takes a few days or a few years. I would be honored to represent you in a real estate transaction. I love to play golf, I am an avid soccer fan of the English Premier league. In my youthful days I played in some highly competive teams and leagues in England. I have 2 wonderful children and 3 wonderful step children. My wife Bobbi is the Branch Manager for the local Wells Fargo Mortgage and has been since 1992. I love what I do it's the next best thing to playing sports for a living.

I am experienced in all aspects of real estate. I have an extensive knowledge of development properties from buying the property to working with the government agencies for subdivision approvals. I also sell many homes. over my career I have sold 500 plus properties. I send out at the begining of every month a newsletter to all my friends, past customers, potential new customers. This newsletter always has last months sales numbers in it for the Montrose area with a comparision with the same month last year. We just dropped in late in the afternoon on July 3rd and found Alan working at the late hour. We talked at length, and over the coming year he sent us listings that might interest us via e-mail (we live 1500 miles away). The following summer we visited again and bought several properties for him to show us, which he cheerfully did.
