The Sun is setting in the western sky...NO WAIT!

As the sun sets quietly in the damp western sky I peek at my watch and see that it is ONLY6 PM! Wait, it can't get dark so soon. I have hours of work to do and less daylight to do it in every day!

My renter has this field of mine harvested which makes thing a bit easier for me on several fronts. But the worst part is that this weekend is...

DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME!!! We again turn the clocks back an hour, which means It will be dark an HOUR earlier. Another hour in which I have lost to do fall chores and with the winter fast approaching, I need all the time I can get.

Some people like myself are dreading the earlier darkness and many are shouting for joy. Just remember it is all in how you plan your day. I just have to get some of the chores done early in the morning before I start my work...I do like the idea of an earlier sunrise!

Thanks for the Prayers...and Minnesota weather!

I have been asked by several for an update on my Grand daughter that had heart surgery 3 months ago. She is now 4 months old and doing very very well. Mom and Dad wish to thank everyone for their prayers and support.

We went down to visit them this weekend, knowing that the weather would be wet and maybe a few snowflakes along the way. We stopped for lunch half way down as the snow started. This is what we seen before we left the restaurant...

A full blown snow storm came out of the 'flurries to snow mix' forecast. There was 1 1/2 inches in an hour before we left to go.

I took these pictures before we ate. Then we hurried down the road before the roads got real bad. When we got to our destination...I found I had left my camera at the restaurant. I so wanted to post a picture of my healthy Grand Daughter. I called the eatery and they had put my camera in a safe place and I picked it up on the way home.

Make sure when traveling Minnesota or any snow state, to pack some warm gear in case of problems. The winter is just starting.

Priorities...Who sets yours...

I like to think that "I" am in charge of my life. But truth be told...I am not. I try to set my agenda, but, it is hardly centered around me.

I Feel "My" agenda for Priorities goes as such..."GOD" is first and foremost, and then it is my wife and then family. Then business should come after that, but not always. And to top that off, my priorities are really set by others whether I want them to or not.

Aging Parents...we work around their Dr.'s appt's. delaying our own 'priorities.

Kids and Grandkids...They seam to sneak into the picture unexpectedly. ( Not always a burden ).

Friends needs...Many of our friends are elderly and need a special hand now and again.

For us Self Employed people...CLIENTS get set as a high priority over families and other needs many times.

Other issues come up that are presented as, you must act now or it will be to late or cost more or...

Then let's not forget GOD...He has his own agenda set out for me and in his eyes that WILL come forst no matter what I want.

Yes...I would like to say that I set my own agenda of priorities in my life, but the truth is that I set the agenda around the priorities of others. IN many ways...I would not have it any other way!

So, Who sets YOUR agenda?

Is it just me, or is everyone asking for money...

I have seen my junk mail more than double in volume in the last few months. Most of it is organizations asking for money. I have seen a huge shift to out of the country sponsors. Now I do what I can to help several organizations, but sending to places that are not even centered here in the states is risky.

I have gone to helping more of the local groups. I have found that by doing so, my name stays off the mailing lists and more of my money goes for the intended use. (Less overhead). There is a real need out there, but the scams are rampant. Help when you can, but be careful to know your group.

A minister stood up in front of his congregation and announced...I have good news and bad news for you today. The good news is we have enough money to handle all our bills and still do the building project. The bad news is that it is still in your pockets.

One is real...all others are fakes. Humor

I always enjoy listening to a couple of guys debate which is better. It doesn't matter if it's a truck, boat, 4 wheeler or a Lady...each will defend his choice to the death. As far as each is concerned, only his idea is real. (sounds like politics). Well here is an example...

After the Great Britain Beer festival, some of the brewery Presidents went out for a drink.

The guy from the Corona Brewery says..."Senor, I would like a bottle of the best beer in the world, a Corona." The bartender dusts off a bottle and gives it to him.

The guy from Budweiser says, "I would like a bottle of the worlds best beer, A Budweiser". So the bartender gives him one.

The guy from Coors says, "I would like a beer made only from Rocky Mountain spring water, A Coors." The bartender looks hard and finds one for him.

The guy from Guinness sets down and says..."Give me a coke." The other Brewery presidents look at him and ask, "Why aren't you having a Guinness?"

"Well, I figured that you guys aren't drinking beer, neither would I!"
