Has the market reached the bottom?

I am beginning to receive data and forecasts that suggest that we are at or very close to the bottom of the real estate market in New London County. While I do not believe that home prices will start to appreciate for some time, I do feel that the inflationary pressures from high energy costs will cause an increase in mortgage rates over the coming months. That being said, now is the best time to buy a home in New London County. Buyers that stay on the fence will be looking back on the summer of 2008 and saying "Why didn't we buy then?" I have advanced training in many areas of the real estate market. I am a member of the Institute for Luxury Home Marketing and I would be glad to assist you with your needs in that market. I work with many "move up" buyers and sellers. These folks typically have a house to sell and would like to buy a larger home or move to a different location in town because their family needs have changed. I also work with many 1st time homebuyers and spend the time with them to explain the homebuying process and provide answers for any of the questions they may have.

Also, in these trying times, I have advanced training (Certified Distressed Property Expert) in assisting people that are in the foreclosure market, either selling to get out from under the house or looking to buy a bank owned or pre-foreclosure property as an investor or to owner-occupy.

I am a local guy born and raised in Waterford and continue to live in town with my wife Sue who happens to be the other half of "The Bowes Team". Sue is also a certified Interior Decorator and will include her staging consultation services at no additional charge when we list your home for sale or help you purchase a home.

I grew up on the Niantic River, spending my summers boating and water sking and winters ice skating on the river. I am experienced in waterfront properties as well as marketing other fine homes in our area. I service all of New London County and would be glad to help you with your real estate needs.
