Broker's Open held 2-16-2010 on a Tuesday.

Phill and I are so thankful for all who came out and joined us in viewing the Surrey Hill's Listing, and a very BIG Thank You to our sponsor Joe Anderson, Mortgage Banker with W. J. Bradley Company & Dennis Chaumont, State Farm Insurance. Joe & Dennis provided a gift certificate to Cattlemans for two, Two $50.00 Visa cards, and if that were not enough they pitched in $50.00 towards food.

Lunch was Lasagna, salad, rolls, & soft drink.

We had the drawing today 2-23-2010, Tuesday. I was hoping one of the Century 21 REALTORS won. I so appreciated that they came out to our Broker's Open. Unfortunately, they did not.

I traveled to the office. I put all the cards in a bag. I shook it up a lot to make sure all the cards got good and mixed up. I held the bag up so no one could see the cards, and Marie Burroughs, Broker owner drew the winners.

New FHA Changes upcoming. After April 5, 2010 the down payment of 3.5% does not change except for credit score borrowers below 580.
Contributions towards closing costs from sellers to buyers is down from 6% to 3%. The upfront mortgage insurance premium (MIP) will be 2.25% up from 1.75%.

If you are thinking of buying Now is the Time before the changes take effect! Which means Buyers will need more money to bring to closing when buying a home.

Can a REALTOR give a gift to someone who gave them a referral?

I would like to give a gift to a wonderful person who liked us or trusted us enough to send a referral our way. I would like to give a $25.00 gift card in appreciation for the referral.

Is this considered inducement even after she referred the client our way? I would like to show our appreciation with what I feel is a small gesture, but I want to stay within the rules and regulations, so If you know the answer to this qestion, please be sure to leave a comment. Thank You.

This is one of my very favorite quotes. It is by Zig Ziglar.

I believe in all that stuff, simply put carma, or what goes around comes around.

Our thoughts, words, and deeds/ actions are powerful in our travels here on earth which is only a temporary stop for our final destination, so it is my opinion that we need to help clients with less just as much, as we help those who have a lot. When it is time for us to leave this old earth, and go home. I think it will matter more where our heart is than which client we helped that had the biggest commission.

Therefore, I think we need to have our hearts and thoughts as Zig Ziglar has said, "You can have everything you want in life, if you help enough other people get what they want"

To me this says, it is in the helping or of being good service to others, and in doing that we will be rewarded or compensated.
