10. Tioli’s Crazee Burger. North Park on 4201 30th Street, (619) 282-6044. This is not your basic burger. Tioli’s makes burgers from ingredients including brie cheese, venison, gator, kangaroo, or buffalo to make the most unique gourmet burgers in town. Try #22, the Hamburg, a burger made with half pork half beef. Prices are reasonable, from $6 to $8 for most burgers.
9. Burger Lounge. Four locations in San Diego. The one in Little Italy on 1608 India Street is open until midnight on the Friday and Saturday. The grilled lounge burger is the only option. Premium ingredients are the difference here.
8. Mr. Peabody’s Burgers & Ale. 6110 Friars Rd Ste 108, at Via Las Cumbres – (619) 542-1786. Chili burgers and basic burgers are good here. Turkey burgers are $3.50 on Wednesdays. Solid, consistent bar food and breakfast.
7. Classics Malt Shop. 3615 Midway Drive, (619) 226-1600. This is the only worthwhile restaurant on Midway Drive. A small 50s style diner with classic malts and food. The burgers here are always solid and they sell Ostrich and Buffalo burgers if you want to try something new. They have a classic car show once a week on Fridays from 6 to 9 pm.
6. The Waterfront Bar and Grill. 2044 Kettner Blvd, 619-232-9656. If you are downtown or anywhere near Little Italy and want a burger, come here. They have a bar with the best bartenders and great half pound burgers. Get the Bubba Burger with bacon and cheddar cheese or my favorite, the Blue Cheese Bacon Burger. Plenty of beers on tap to order while you wait. Two for one burgers on Monday from 4pm to 9pm.
5. In-N-Out. Located throughout San Diego. The most simple and best tasting burger restaurant in the fast food business. Their fries are decent but there chocolate shakes doesn’t have much chocolate flavor. I order my burgers here “Animal Style”.
4. Rockys Crown Pub. 3786 Ingraham Street (858) 273-9140. It is real simple here, order a hamburger or cheeseburger. You will get a blank stare if you attempt to tell them how to cook it or what you want on it. Just chill it will be out when it is ready. An awesome neighborhood bar that is always crowded. Come early to get a seat.
3. Bare Back Bar and Grill. Two, one located at 4640 Mission Blvd and the other is 624 E St(between 6th Ave & 7th Ave). This is that new, New Zealand burger joint…located in Pacific Beach and the Gaslamp District Downtown. They specialize in chicken sandwiches and burgers. If you want a burger, try the Kiwilango which includes BBG sauce, bleu cheese, and jalapenos. If you like chicken, get a Dirty Jerz made of chicken, swiss cheese, BBG sauce, and bacon. Avoid the fries, they are similar to cafeteria fries. The sandwiches are large and very filling.
2. Phils BBQ. 3750 Sports Arena Blvd, (619) 226-6333. I always order ribs at Phils BBQ but for those who do not eat pork their burger is one of the best in San Diego. They add their special Phils BBQ sauce on top of an open flame cooked patty. The onion rings at Phils BBQ are the tastiest in San Diego. Lines are long so be prepared to wait. If you live in San Diego and have never been here, make a point to. It is a true gem for BBQ lovers. Closed on Mondays.
1. Hodad’s. 5010 Newport Avenue, (619) 224-4623. Leave the most laid back decor of any restaurant to a burger joint in Ocean Beach. Best bacon burger and shakes in San Diego hands down. Order a single patty burger, it is plenty of food and the double patties are extremely messy. You haven’t fully experienced Hodad’s if you have never tried one of their chocolate shakes. Best restaurant in Ocean Beach period. Lines can be long and it closes early.
Express it.
If you are at home, get into your room, climb on to your bed and scream into the pillow. This way, no one is gonna hear your big scream.
Say it.
There might be some things that you wanted to tell the person who made you angry. Rather than hurling offensive words at the person face to face and creating a bad impression, why don't you try saying everything you wanted at any volume into the pillow.
Do it.
If you wanted to slap the person then grab an old soft toy like a teddy bear and slap it as long as you want.
Relax.
After doing these relax in an arm chair or your bed, close your eyes and think about nothing.
Congratulate.
Congratulate yourself for managing your anger without causing any trouble for yourself.
Smell the calmness.
If you are still not calm enough, try smelling a good flower or a perfume having a sweet smell. This will sure reduce your anger.
Warning hitting people with teddy bears is still illegal.

10. Sicilian Thing Pizza. 4046 30th Street, North Park. Their trademark Sicilian pizza has a thick buttery crust and is made into a square. They also make round thin crust pizzas. The thick airy crust is not too chewy or dense. A good change from Chicago deep dish and NY thin crust styles.
9. Basic. 410 Tenth Avenue, Downtown. Grab a pie before seeing a game at PetCo or hitting Gaslamp. As the name states the pies at Basic are simple, and made with high quality ingredients. Choose from one of four styles of pies (white and red with or without cheese) and you toppings. Specialty pizza toppings include cherry peppers, clams, broccoli, fried eggplant and mashed potatoes.
8. Lefty’s Chicago Pizzeria. 3448 30th Street, North Park & 4030 Goldfinch, Mission Hills. Closed Mondays. The Great Sausage Pie, a layer of sausage in a stuffed pizza is simply the best pizza in San Diego. Deep dish and stuffed pizzas take from 45 minutes to an hour to cook so sit back and enjoy a long talk, a drink, and salad with your company.
7. Pizza Luigi. 1428 1st Avenue, Golden Hill & 2121 El Cajon Boulevard, North Park. Good thin crust pies and slices served here. I prefer Pizza Luigi’s original shop in Golden, for some reason the pizzas always tastes better there.
6. Caparells Restaurant.1428 1st Avenue. Tucked away on 1st Ave in downtown, Caparells makes a better pizza than any restaurant in Little Italy. Caparells also serves other quality Italian dishes and desserts. I also recommend Sams Calzone.
5. Bronx Pizza. 111 Washington Street. I lived in New York City and know a real NY slice when I see one. Bronx Pizza is about as close as it gets. They even have the small urban neighborhood pie shop feel you see so frequently in NYC. The basic pepperoni, whitestones, Porko, or Bronx Deluxe pizzas are good selections at Bronx Pizza.
4. Regents Pizzeria. 4150 Regents Park Row, Suite 170, La Jolla. Regents makes NY style thin crust pizzas as well as the Chicago deep dish variety. Regents also makes tasty specialty pizzas. My favorite is the Regents Signature a garlic white cream sauce, grilled chicken, jalapenos, and vegetables. They also make a pesto chicken pie.
3. Round Table. Located throughout San Diego. Best local pizza chain in San Diego. They are the only chain I know that actually uses fresh quality ingredients. Their interiors might look like some cheesy corporate pizza franchise but do not let that fool you, that make a good pie. Delivery available.
2. DiMille’s Italian Restaurant. 3492 Adams Avenue, Normal Heights. Good deep dish, regular, and thin crust pizzas. Get the DiMille’s Super Works with your choice of any six toppings. I get the meatball, salami, sausage, mushrooms, red onions, and bell peppers. Full menu offers other Italian pasta dishes and entrees.
1. Woodstock’s Pizza. 6145 El Cajon Blvd. The white or wheat crust is made differently here. The outer edge of the pizza dough is layered with sauce before being folded over. Woodstock’s has the best deals of any San Diego pizza joint. Lunch buffet includes all you can eat slices. One dollar PBRs all day Mondays and cheap liter beers during happy hours. Buy a large or extra large pizza after 10:00 pm and get one free pizza. Open late, midnight during the week and 1:00 AM on the weekend. Delivery available.

Hard to find seats on Tuesdays, so arrive early!

Irreverent. Laid-back. And famous. That just about sums up Hodad's, where they boast "Under 99 gazillion sold." The Ocean Beach location has always been a favorite of locals for years, but it became a national destination when CNN and Food Network a few years back featured Hodad's and its monstrous burgers as some of the best in the country. Guy Fieri called the burgers "ridiculous" on his popular "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" TV show. And the rest is burger history. Hodad's recently opened up a second location downtown, hoping to bring its OB vibe with it. Will popularity and fame spoil Hodad's? Time will tell. Until then, open wide and enjoy.
Charley's Famous HamburgersOK, most people wouldn't have Charley's Famous Burgers on their list because they probably have no idea it exists. It's one of those places you stumble upon and try and like. But the next time you go for a burger, you don't think of it until you pass it by again. Charley's is an old-school drive-thru, and they serve up nostalgia with some pretty good cheap burgers. You don't see a lot of drive-thru indie burger joints anymore with fast food chains on every block. And Charley's has been in Lemon Grove forever - so that says something, doesn't it?

Nicky Rottens is a sports bar in the Gaslmap Quarter. The burgers at Nicky Rottens are hand-pressed burgers made from Grade A cornfed Midwestern beef, and they use only fresh organic vegetables, sliced fresh each day. The sauces are made in-house every morning, to ensure that you receive the most robust, fresh taste possible. Nicky Rottens also has an Ultimate Burger Challenge for those feeling up for some "Man vs. Food" action with a 2.5 pound monster burger. Finish it in an hour and you get a special place of honor on their wall. So, there. The gauntlet has been thrown down.
Boomerang's Gourmet Burger JointOwners Bruce and Jose had dreamed of Boomerangs Gourmet Burger Joint for years and their dreams became a reality when they opened up this burger joint in Clairemont. It's a neighborhood place that serves up 100% Angus beef build-you-own burger with an overwhelming array of topping choices. You basically choose your protein (including buffalo and lamb) and then pick and choose whatever toppings you want.
