I wanted to take a minute to feature a little know Bait and Tackle Shop in Southern Wake County. This little shop is a family owned and opperated shop that has served this community for over 60 years. It is a little shop on Hwy 42 just south west of the Hwy 50 intersection in Wake County between the Cleaveland Community and Willow Springs, NC and Fuquay Varina, NC.

Papa Byrd is also a member of Bass Masters and fishes in Tournaments all over the state and southeast US. He has won many torunaments and also sponsors many pro fishermen and fisherwomen.
Papa Byrd, is a Master Rod and Reel Repairman. If you need any Rod and Reel repaired, serviced, oiled, or just checked out, Papa Byrd is the man to do it!!

The new RBC Building has opened in Downtown Raleigh, NC. It is not totaly ready, but the exterior is ready and many of the office suites are ready. It is a beautiful addition to the sky line and is now Raleigh's tallest building. These pictures were take from the Capital City Club (www.CapitalRaleigh.com) in Raleigh at the Top of the Progress Energy Tower just across the street. The top floors are all residential suites Called the Plaza Condominiums. They are sold out, but there are a few residential units still available through assignments. If you are interested in hearing more about it, please let me know!!
Enjoy!

About a Year ago, I came home with a bunch of custom made shirts with our company logo on them. I had one for my wife as well. My Daughter was Three at the time. She looked at the shirts, looked at her mothers shirt and with a sad look on her face said "Daddy, Where's my Wray Realty Shirt." Holy CRAP!! Who would have thought my Three year old would have wanted a Wray Realty Shirt? This was about the time she started noticing all the Wray Realty signs, logos on the cars, pens, note pads, websites etc. She would walk around and randomly at the top of her lungs scream "WRAY REALTY ROCKS!!" This always got attention at the bank, in the restaurant, stores, church, etc. She actually got me a few customers by doing this, so I just let her do it!!
I told her I would have her one in three days!! She lit up like the sun. she was so excited and gave me the biggest hug and said " Thank You Daddy!!"
So that night I went on the Hunt for the perfect shirts for my little girl to where with the Wray Realty Logo on it. At first, I was just going to buy one shirt and have it made, but I could not just buy one, I actually bought three.
I took them in to my promotional products company that can turn these things around pretty fast, and told them I needed them in less than two days!! They got them to me in 24 hours.(www.aimgrouptwo.com).
When I got home with them, I made a big production out of giving them to her. She was SO HAPPPPYYYY!!!! She squeeled with Joy and Happiness. When she is going to go out with me to do anything and I have one of these shirts on, she often notices, and has to go put hers on as well.
These little shirts with the Logo on them are the Cutest Things EVER!!
Well I had her this morning before the babysitter, and she and I went to breakfast and to run some errands, and she insisted we wear our shirts togther. When ever she wears one of her shirts, she tells everyone we come in contact with that she is whereing a WRAY Realty Shirt. We went to the Waffle House in Fuquay Varina, NC, her favorite place for breakfast, and she even told the Cook when he came by to check on us. She is so proud or Wray Realty, and this is one of the Millions of reasons, I am Proud to be her Daddy!!
She and These shirts are the best marketing I could ever get.
Enjoy the pictures.

Johnston County is hurting a little bit. This is due in part to the large amounts of development that went on in 2007. It was over developed with higher priced homes. With prices coming down in areas closer to Raleigh, it is hard to get buyers into Johnston county. Clayton is the lightly shining light in Johnston county right now. It is the most desired place to live in this county overall.
| Johnston COUNTY as of 7/31/2008 | 8/1/2007 | 2/1/2008 | 5/1/2008 | 7/1/2008 |
| Closed Transactions in Past | 12 Months | 6 Months | 3 Months | 30 Days |
| EnterTransactions Closed Here>>> | 2676 | 1320 | 647 | 200 |
| Average Homes Sold Per Month | 223.0 | 220.0 | 215.7 | 200.0 |
| Current Active on MLS>>> | 1999 | 1999 | 1999 | 1999 |
| Months Supply on Market | 9.0 | 9.1 | 9.3 | 10.0 |
Overall these are not bad stats for some areas nationally, in the areas close to Wake County, these stats are not good though. I think the increased gas prices has had this affect on Johnston county. Many folks were moving to the Clayton area becasue the amount of home you can get for the price, but gas prices have slowed this migration.
Thanks, Brian Wray
