Calgary Evergreen Home For Sale

Unique and well appointed home on a quiet close and on a south-facing pie lot. Coveted location that backs to a green space and sides to a natural reserve pond. (One of Evergreen's largest lots) The kitchen is finished in deep hazelnut maple cabinets, has a huge island and corner pantry. Nice open greatroom floor plan for entertaining. Super sunny nook with direct access to the deck for summer BBQs. There is also a main level den that is located just off of the front entry. The master bedroom is elegantly raised and abundantly spacious! Generously sized walk-in closet and a well complimented ensuite with a separate shower and over sized soaker tub. The lower level has just been professionally developed and has underlayed sub-floor. Development includes a "big" screen sized rec room, two additional bedrooms and another full bathroom. WOW - nice home!

If Only Real Estate Had a Groundhog!

Happy Groundhog Day!

I couldn't help but wonder this morning, what if we had a groundhog that could predict the upcoming trends of the Calgary Real Estate Market ?  Surely the little furry guy could spare another day of the year to give us his prediction on the market in the months to come?

Now could be the time to move up in the Calgary Real Estate Market

The Calgary Real Estate Board has released statistics for December 2008.

Supply is currently outweighing demand, and like any economics 101 teaches us - this causes a downward trend in prices. Home owners feel secure when prices are going up, and we become concerned when they are dropping. For those thinking of moving (depending on your specific situation of course) today's market could actually work to your benefit.

Lower priced homes are holding their value better than the more expensive properties. Having said this, you could actually move up to a larger home and see a considerably lower price spread (increase in your mortgage) than if you were to do it at another time.

At the end of the day, it's the "bottom line" that you should be looking at. Rob Johnstone www.CalgaryHomePros.com
