The Lake Oconee Area Builders Association (LOABA) is hosting the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Construction Contract and Laws class. NAHB will be present the class on April 23, 2009 from 12:00-2:00. The cost of the class is $25 for members, $50 for members of other associations, and $75 for non-members.
The program focuses on contracts between builders, remodelers, and subcontractors, green building contracts, and contract enforcement.

Drew the Dramatic Fool - A comedic variety show at The Plaza Arts Center theatre at 8:00 p.m. Drew Richardson will spend a week in residence while hosting workshops and lectures for all of the Putnam County schools. Twelve local students will be selected for his silent movie project and their film will premier the night of his show. Tickets for the Friday night show are $15 general admission. Saturday, April 18: Rock Eagle 4-H Center presents Bee Keeping Basics for adults. Become a beekeeper for a day and explore the inside of an active beehive! Come prepared for class by wearing a light colored long sleeve shirt, long pants and closed toe shoes. Class begins at 10:00 a.m. and costs $10.00 which includes a light snack and drink.. Start Masters Week with a Bang at Richland Creek Restaurant. On April 6th from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Mitch Cosentino with Cosentino Winery will be at Richland Creek to showcase eight of his wines. Having the owner/wine maker from one of Napa Valley's great wineries in our town will be a great treat for everyone. Sunday, March 29: Swamp Stomp 5K/1 Mile Family Run sponsored by Gatewood Schools. The race starts at 2:30 p.m. at Gatewood. Proceeds benefit Kaye Gregory Cheshire Girls' Athletic Facility.
