The Gatewood Alumni Association invites you to their annual auction extravaganza at Rock Eagle EMC Pavilion on Saturday, March 21st, starting at 5:30 pm. It promises to be an evening of fun for everyone, offering great food, live entertainment, a cash bar, silent and live auction items, and several raffle items. There are several options available for purchase. An individual event ticket ($60) admits one person to the event, with a chance for a $1000 cash door prize. . The Steffen Thomas Museum of Art (STMA) hosts a decorative button design workshop on March 14th, 2009 between 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The cost is $8 for adults and $6 for children. All STMA members receive a $2.00 discount on the cost of admission. Reservations are required and may be made by calling (706) 342-7557.

On the Kingston Trio
The Kingston Trio began its long road of success in the late 1950's and continued to enjoy popularity through the early 1960's. Fifty-two years after Tom Dooley shot to the top of the charts, the Trio (with new members) is still on the road thirty weeks a year, bringing back all the great memories and making new ones.
It's finally completed. The new Southshore Road (old Bluegill Conector) will be officially opened to the public on Friday, March 13. The Putnam County Board of Commissioners invite everyone to met at the Twin Bridges Road entry site for a special Ribbon Cutting and Dedication Ceremony at 3 p.m. The road will be a welcomed addition, enabling much quicker access to lake properties off of Bluegill Road.
The Ferst Foundation of Putnam County will host a yard sale at the Plaza Arts Center in Eatonton, GA on Saturday, April 4, 2009. The event will run between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. The costs for hosting booths are:
Individuals - $25.00 Groups - $35.00
Items that may be sold include: Food, yard sale items and crafts. Patrons are also welcome to make donations at the Ferst Foundation booth.
