Kevin Bradley never drives or walks around Lake County absent-mindedly. Instead he's always taking mental and sometimes written notes. Kevin relishes the varied views of open water, nearby mountains and gently rolling hills. He logs in native plants such as blackberries, toyon, manzanita, mustard and sage. He tallies numerous birds, including an occasional flock of wild turkeys. He notices much smaller life forms, too especially honeybees. "Ever since I was a kid, I've loved all the details of the natural world," Kevin says. "I see endless beauty in the details." Looking Out the Windows
This Northern California native developed his eye for detail as a child. Over the course of several years, Kevin and his family took time to drive through all 48 contiguous states. "With my sisters and brother, I'd always be looking out the windows of our car to see as much as possible," he recalls. His fascination with natural details led him to pursue beekeeping-intrigued not just by the lives of the bees themselves, but the detail-oriented nature of constructing and then tending to the hives. Pursuing this interest over the course of some 20 years, Kevin became an expert at identifying optimum settings for bee colonies, then monitoring their health and productivity. At one point he was tending more than 1,000 hives.

Underwater Visions
These days, when he's not busy serving his business clientele, Kevin enjoys dreaming up travel adventures and planning camping trips. Family times with wife Mary Sue and, when they're able to visit, grown sons Ben and Aaron are of great importance to Kevin. He also enjoys escaping to the waters off California's coast, in Mexico and the Caribbean. There, in scuba-diving or snorkeling mode, he spends hours observing the myriad underwater life forms. "The endless variety and color of marine life never cease to amaze me," Kevin declares. Clearly, Kevin's affinity for detail is as strong below the surface as above.
