As a Realtor I take responsibility for making sure the key to your home is in good hands. So I have to ask, "Do YOU know where your house keys are?"
I recently showed property that was not my listing. I called the listing agents office and was told they would be out when I arrived, but would leave the keys outside the office door. I picked up the keys and I was SHOCKED! The key chain had the owners address, and name on the key ring! Now, thankfully I WAS the one that got the keys and not some thief or vandal.
I had to ask myself why would they put their clients at such risk? Do they think about the "what ifs" that can happend when you keep your clients keys in this manner?
I personally think it stupid, unsafe and just wrong! I have my clients keys in a safe place with no marking on the keys or key rings that would make sense to anyone other than me.
If you are considering selling your home - ASK BEFORE YOU LIST! Never assume. The Realtor you choose to list and market your home should be:
1. Educated about the area.
2. Easy to get in touch with.
3. Keep you informed of what is going on DURING the listing or sales period. You don't want a Realtor that calls you to list it and then again in 6 months to Re-list your property.
4. Your Realtor should have your best (and safe) interest at heart.
5. The simple Golden Rule - The Realtor you choose should treat you the way they would want to be treated.
That's it - Short and simple. I can and do all the above. If this sounds like the kind of Realtor you want showing and selling your home, then Click or Call Kelli Wall Today.
Do you STILL have those jeans that don't fit? Do you have empty containers for a 'just in case' situation? If you answered YES, then this is the meeting for you! Free Clutter Intervention. Below is a message from our fearless leader, Lynda Litterst, Organizer/CRS/CSS. Lynda is awesome and ready to help you. Your first step is to attend the FREE Clutter Intervention Monday November 7, 2011 at the Broken Bow Chamber of Commerce.
Message from Lynda,
Well, it's finally here . . . our very first meeting for our self-help support group-- FREE CLUTTER INTERVENTION--is on the calendar! Please join me on Monday, November 7, at 6:00 p.m. at the Chamber of Commerce Bldg. in Broken Bow. We will meet for about an hour to an hour and a half. There is no fee for this meeting and it is open to anyone who wants to come. Please check with me or the ladies at the Chamber to be sure that the date and time are as listed above. Occasionally, the Chamber has to change meeting days and/or times. At the FREE Clutter Invention meeting you will be given a list of meeting dates for the next year. However, it is always a good idea to confirm accuracy of the information before attending each month.
What you can expect at the FREE Clutter Intervention meeting: 1) the attendees will introduce themselves 2) a basic outline of how the meetings will proceed will be outlined 3) flyers will be handed out to the attendees for distribution around the area 4) each attendee will be able to express what is on his/her mind (regarding clutter concerns) 5) each attendee will be able to tell what they would like to see as part of each meeting 6) success stories will be celebrated and concerns will be addressed 7) a reminder that everything we say within the meeting walls is to remain within those walls (just as it is in Alcoholics Anonymous) 8) our "National Anthem" for CLUTTER INTERVENTION will be introduced.
Our two symbols for the group will be the DAISY, which represents simplicity, AND the BLUEBIRD, which represents happiness and freedom.
I'll be ordering us some business cards to hand out to the public, as well.
You may want to have a notepad and pen with you for the meeting.
Thank you for informing your family and friends about the FREE CLUTTER INTERVENTION. From the feedback I've received, we are a needed group!
QUOTE for OCTOBER: "If it doesn't fit anymore, physically or psychologically, let it go."
Hope to see you on November 7!!!
Sincerely purrs . .

Recently there was a young artist from Idabel, Oklahoma who's work was showcased. It was my talented daughter. ReAnn's artwork was recently on display at the Gilcrease Museum in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
ReAnn is 11 years old. She started taking art lessons from her teacher, Ms. Thela a few years ago. This young artist from Idabel, Oklahoma knows how lucky she is to have weekly semi-private art lessons. Her class is made up of the teacher and 2 other young girls. None of this would be possible without Ms. Thela's willingness to allow these young artist from Idabel, Oklahoma to have such an opportunity for this kind of attention.
ReAnn gets her inspiration from differnt places. The painting, "Old Glory" is an eagle that she and her dad saw fly over head while they were at our deer lease several miles outside Idabel, Oklahoma. It is painted on the ragged flag that was left to weather on the flagpole of the first home we bought in Idabel, Oklahoma. This young artist from Idabel, Oklahoma did this painting for her dad's Christmas present last year... He loved it!
The peacock painting is another amazing piece that has a wonderful story to go along with it. My parents, who live an hour from Idabel, Oklahoma, were adopted by this beautiful peacock several years ago. When the young artist from Idabel, Oklahoma visits their home he is always there to greet her with a wave of his magnificent feathers. He is regal and he knows it! ReAnn has learned that peacocks sleep in trees at night - thus the idea of her painting.
I am humbled and amazed at the artwork my precious daughter creates. I have no artistic talents and I know that she has a great gift from God. I hope she always stays true to her calling and finds joy in painting. I know we anxiously wait to see what this young artist from Idabel, Oklahoma will create next!
Keep up the awesome work sweet girl! I'm so proud of you.

The McCurtain County Free Fair should have excellent weather this week. It has turned nice & cool (high of 86 today). Great fair weather for the McC
urtain Country Free Fair 2011.
The fair is located at the Fairgrounds in Idabel, Oklahoma 74745 off NW 9th street. It's true that a fair and carnival brings everyone out! You will see old friends, and might even make a new one with a cotton candy smile. It is so interesting to see so many local youth showing their animals and enjoying the efforts of all their hard work. The McCurtain Country Free Fair 2011 has something for everyone. If you enjoy walking through all the animal barns, there are plenty to see this year. The art exhibits from all the schools and local artist are always a favorite of mine. I know that many will also spend time looking at the handmade quilts on display as the McCurtain County Free Fair 2011. With the local schools being out for Fair Day on Friday, there is sure to be an excellent turn out for the parade and special events the carnival has planned. I plan on attending the tractor driving contest. I think it will be very interesting! The talent show this year is sure to be a great one. We are so lucky to live in Southeastern Oklahoma where there is an abundance of talent. Seeing what others can do is a wonderful way to spend a Saturday at the McCurtain County Free Fair 2011. Don't forget to come hungry - so you can enjoy the carnivals deep fried foods!
I 'll be looking for you at the McCurtain County Free Fair 2011.
