Yup! I thought that the wheels on my truck were big... Then my son and I passed up this moster truck, and the tires were HUGE! We all know that the trucks are big, but getting up close to the wheels is pretty amazing!

So I did not want to pass up the opportunity to have my son climb up into the wheel well and snap this awesome picture!

I thought I would take a few steps back so I would be able to remember the size better.
We were at the California Air Show in Salinas, CA. Tons of pics to share, and a great time!

My son and I were strolling along the docks at Lake Don Pedro. Located near La Grange, California. It was surging to 100 degrees and we HAD to get some ice, and ice cream! We stopped to help some boaters guide their boat into a slip, and right there, on the railing was a praying mantis!

Out here in California, we don't see them very often, and it had been a few years since my last sighting... Funny, sounds like I am talking about a UFO or something!

We even left and had our ice cream, and went back for our ice... And the little bugger was still there.
Gotta say, it was pretty cool!

Gotta love the guys over at ActiveRain!
The road warriors were out and in effect at Keller Williams Mega Camp in Austin Texas! The annual event occurs in late September and this year drew over 10,000 agents from all across the country. Learning from the likes of Gary Keller, Jay Papasan, Stefan Swanepoel, Ben Kinney, Ken DeLeon, Chris Heller and our keynote speaker Marcus Buckingham (who write some bool).
This two day event that seems to attract not only realtors and vendors… But ACTIVERAIN! Yup, it was raining at Mega Camp this year. And no, I didn’t score a shirt this time… But then again, I didn’t ask. Darn it. I wanted another one to bedazzle it, cut the sleeves off and… Errr… Umm… Nevermind. :

It was great to see Anthony Van Vactor, Abe Schmidt and CEO Nikesh Parekh out promoting ActiveRain and blogging. Getting more members, and gaining exposure.

The wall is so fun to look at, and it almost draws in… As if you could actually find yourself in the wall of pictures. I looked, but just got dizzy.
Till next time!

What a great day at Keller Williams Mega-Technology Camp, 2011! (Austin, Texas)
Part of Mega Camp, Sept 19-22 2011
Technology… It seems that there are so many people, companies, products and sites pushing technology. They say that THEIR product is the best, that their ideas will help you achieve success faster than anything else. There are camps and seminars all aimed at helping agent overcome their biggest hurdle these days, which seem to center around technology. From facebook to cragslist to twitter to google… You go to these classes, then are pushed to buy what it is they are offering to get you to that next level. They want you to purchase THEIR product, because it is guaranteed to make you more money, more leads and a better life.
Funny about that word guarantee… When we think of the word guarantee, we thing that it means we will get what it is that they are offering, no matter what! When in actually, the term guaranteed may just mean your money back after a trial period or something.
So KW created this day of learning called Mega Technology Camp… Not hosted and created by vendors, but content created by agents for agents… And not just any agent, but agents that are having success in the very products, technology, systems that they are talking about. So sitting and learning is something truly amazing, to see agents talk about the successes they are having right now. When it is over, those top agents that were speaking, on panels, spotlighted are here to chat with you after…
Today we learned about using craigslist to promote our listings, utilizing ads that are generated for every listing to create buyers. Using facebook and learning how to be interested in others to get them to be interested in us. To creating content on twitter to using sites like scvngr to reach further in your plan to generate more business. All in our quest to raise our Klout scores!
Mega Camp not only is about helping agents achieve the next level with guidance from Gary Keller, it also includes technology, luxury homes, blogging, KW Commercial, rural homes and land/farms, leadership and training. When you make your plans next year, don’t just book Mega Agent, also book a few more of the add on’s!

As most of you know, I am headed to Austin, Texas this week to attend KW's Mega Agent/Leadership camp out here. Our flight was smooth and uneventful until we had to descend into Austin... There are showers and thunderstorms in the area, and as I looked out the window, this is what we were greeted with...

It was a rather bumpy ride on the way down, but the colors in the sky had me glued to the window... I was able to snap these cool pictures, but they do not due it justice.

I left 80 degree, sunny weather back home in California... I am now in humid, hot, rainy, 90+ degree weather.. But then again, I am in Texas... And I love it here! Austin is such a great place to live and to visit!
