Halloween Night ,Saturday, will be a fun night with Highway 61 at Club Maxx at Dietz's

on Rt. 619 in Portage Lakes, Ohio. Highway 61 delivers R & B with gusto and you will

have a great time dancing to their tunes! Club Maxx offers a large dance floor and

is on West Reservoir in Portage Lakes. We will all be in costume to frighten and scare

you. hahahahahahahaha!

This Indian Statue is in a park along Rt. 93 in Portage Lakes, Ohio.

It tells the story of how the Indians had to portage their canoes

along the canals and the lakes in Portage Lakes and ultimately

how the Portage Lakes was named by the Indians who lived here.

It is interesting to read the plaque that accompanies the statue

and learn more about our historic area along the Ohio Canals

in Ohio. If you have time someday stop to visit the Indian!

The Portage Lakes State Park off of Rt. 93 in the New Franklin area offers

a small observatory in their parking lot. It is away from the city lights and a

great place to see the stars! Portage Lakes State Park has so many

Veronica Krug and the Back Alley Gatorz played at the Suburb Inn in

Coventry last Friday. They really rocked out! She is one of the most

energetic lead singers in Akron area! You really must come out to

hear them next Friday, Oct. 30th at the Innfield Lounge in Barberton

at 861 Wooster Road West. They are going to be dressed for

Halloween and they will have a costume contest with prizes! It will

be an entertaining night!! Y'all come!
