RACEDAY!!!

Lynne Bridges

My best friend, Lynne Bridges, was surprised by her husband for her 6oth

birthday with a NASCAR lesson at Lowe's Motor Speedway in Concord, NC

She was a little nervous, but did a great job and had a top speed of 137 MPH!

If you would like to take a lesson check online for Dale Jarret School of Racing! It is a

great family experience, those of us observing had almost as much fun as the drivers!

Feast of the Assumption in Little Italy

The Virgin Mary

The Virgin Mary is paraded down the street in Little Italy to commemorate the Feast of the

Assumption in Little Italy in Cleveland, Ohio. The day was hot and humid and the crowd

was so happy to see the statue arrive in the street carried by the men of the Holy Rosary

Catholic Church.

MUGSHOT!!

Billboard

Well, not exactly a "mugshot", but a photo of my "mug"!!! My first billboard went up recently, and

I finally got down there to see it! What do you think? We are opening a new Green office soon and

getting our name out in the area to the local public! We have billboards up all over town and it is

fun to see our familiar sign and all of our faces up there bigger than life! This billboard is at the

corner of Strausser and Massillon Roads in Jackson Twp. Stark County, Ohio. I was pleasantly

surprised at how little we had to pay for this ad for a month of exposure!

Pat Dailey at the Upper Deck in Portage Lakes, Ohio

Pat Dailey at Upper Deck

An Ohio favorite Pat Dailey performed on Sunday at the Upper Deck in Portage Lakes, Ohio!

This entertainer is known for his bawdy folklore songs about the Lake Erie Islands, particularly

Put-In-Bay! He drinks Guiness throughout his performance and gets a little bawdier as the

evening goes on!! Portage Lakes loved him and he gave his all in the stifling humidity and

heat! He played for over 2 hours to the beer swilling crowd on the decks and the lawn and

even in the boats parked at the docks behind him, who he heckled for not paying to come

onto the property. Pat is well known for his song titled Nymphmaniac. No explanation needed.

This is an annual event here at the Upper Deck in Portage Lakes, Ohio.

The grill was cranking our great food and a fun time was had by all as evidenced by the

next photo!

Portage Lakes, Ohio

Geese at Sunrise in Portage Lakes, Ohio

The sleepy Portage Lakes wakes up to the swimming geese at sunrise,

this morning was particulary beautiful because of the reflection on

Long Lake and the geese posing for this photo! It is always a vacation

in Portage Lakes, Ohio. There is always something to do here, with

our series of lakes on and off the "main chain". Portage Lakes, Ohio

has 3 levels of lakes and the "main chain" is the highest level, Hower

Lake and North Reservoir are lower, and Long Lake is the lowest lake.

Because of the different levels of the lakes the early residents, the native

American Indians had to portage their canoes from level to level, hense

the name Portage Lakes!!
