St Lucia

St Lucia is one of the most populous islands in the Caribbean having 150,000 people calling this island paradise home. Though it is one of the larger Caribbean islands having 240 square miles of land, the thing that drives people to live here is its natural beauty and fun-loving atmosphere. St Lucia is known as “Helen of the West Indies” for its scenic vistas like its mountainous terrain that comes to a halt at its beautiful white sandy beaches.

The islands large tourist industry and population allows for the public works to be higher quality than most Caribbean islands. St Lucia also has some of the nicest property in the Caribbean either built right on the white sandy beaches only steps from the Caribbean’s famously blue waters or perched on its hilltops with breathtaking view of St Lucia’s elevated terrain.

St. Maarten

Not to be confused with St. Martin, St Maaten is the Dutch side of the same island. Many people see St. Maarten as the wilder side of the Caribbean. Many people go to St. Maarten to let loose on their nude beaches and exciting nightlife. St. Maarten is a must-stop port for Cruise ships with people from all over the world looking to let loose in the Caribbean’s most uninhibited island.

Oddly enough, St Maarten is a relatively small island in the Caribbean, but still holds such a high appeal. Most property in St Maarten is waterfront, but there is some real estate that lies further inland on hilltops still walking distance from the waterfront. Residents of St Maarten enjoy privacy in their homes and the excitement of tourist locations only minutes away.

Additionally, the island’s Dutch culture makes it unique in that it may be one of the few places in the world you can see Caribbean and Dutch culture fuse with such beautiful results.

The Grenadines

The Grenadines is one of the most southerly islands in the Caribbean. The Grenadines is a stream of islands often associated with St Vincent. The Grenadines may seem like an obscure Caribbean island, but when some of the most famous people in the world need to take a break from the spotlight, they head to the Grenadines. Well known starts like David Bowie and Mick Jagger have both spent time in the Grenadines winding down after tours of the world.

The fact that the Grenadines is made up of numerous islands means it has the potential to have incredibly secluded real estate. The Grenadines represents the idyllic view of Caribbean property as being secluded on a small island surrounded by nothing by blue waters. If this island sounds like it’s too far from civilization, St. Vincent is only a short boat ride away and offers an assortment of resort-style attractions.

The Island of Saint Lucia

The Caribbean island of Saint Lucia is fairly small at fourteen miles in width and 27 miles in length. Together with a generous amount of Caribbean real estate, this volcanic and abundantly green island offers Caribbean real estate and more.

Before it evolved into yet another one of the Caribbean’s best islands for Caribbean real estate, Saint Lucia was all about the banana trade, plantations of which can still be found on the island. Today Saint Lucia is all about the Caribbean real estate and Saint Lucia tourism which surprisingly has not affected the Saint Lucia culture or the island’s natural aesthetic.

Saint Lucia’s aesthetic is enhanced by its mountain slopes, the peaks of the volcano, and the sprawling rainforests which all contribute towards Saint Lucia’s Caribbean real estate appeal. This focus on eco-tourism is in sharp contrast to bigger and more commercialized islands like Saint Maarten which also offer Caribbean real estate, albeit not quite of the environmentally skewed variety.

Saint Lucia’s Caribbean real estate is notable for its unusual mix of homes which can range from quiet homes on the peak of a mountain or hill to small Saint Lucia Caribbean real estate like a small secluded home located not too far from the ocean. This abundance in Caribbean real estate can be attributed in part to Saint Lucia’s status as one of more prosperous Caribbean islands in the region, the average income being more than $6,000 a year.

Besides a wide variety of Caribbean real estate, the people of Saint Lucia have also gained a favorable reputation for being very friendly and approachable so if and when you do decide to invest in Saint Lucia Caribbean real estate, you can expect to have a community of neighbors that will more than likely welcome you with open arms.
