Early life
Carlisle was born in Fort Gordon, Georgia, the son of U.S. Army soldier, Chauncey Mitchell and second of two children. Mitchell attended a private Christian school at 4yrs old and a year later delivered his first public speech.

Carlisle started his first business at 8 yrs old, a small lawn care business, mowing lawns in the local community. Within months he had 18 lawns. Chauncey Mitchell, the father of Carlisle Mitchell recalls how he first discovered that Carlisle's lawncare business was more than just a hobby. "One day I checked the mail and there were a bunch of letters to Carlisle. Being the father I opened the letters and to my surprise every letter had either cash or a check made payable to Carlisle Mitchell. When I asked him about it he said the neighbors were willing to pay him to do what he does at home for free."

Even as a youth Mitchell intuitively understood the concept of saving time and money and how to streamline business processes. To save time instead of picking up each payment Carlisle would ask customers to mail payments and when Carlisle didn't have enough time to do the lawns himself he would pay his friends to help him.

As a 6th grader Carlisle continued to demonstrate his leadership ability delivering an inspiring commencement speech to the graduating student body. Results from an IQ test taken in the 9th grade may explain Carlisle's gift to streamline business process. Mitchell scored perfect scores in 2 of 3 areas and the ability to think in pictures.

Career
Carlisle first developed his investment management skills as a licensed representative at Franklin Templeton. While at Franklin Templeton he demonstrated an intuitive ability for process engineering, streamlining many work flow processes, he became an integral part of the project management team.

Business
Carlisle's successes developing systems, processes and organizational structures for other companies motivated Carlisle to start his own company.

In 2003, Carlisle founded Transcend Realty & Development a full service real estate brokerage and development company and RealtyandDevelopment.com, The Online Network for Buyers, Sellers and Real Estate Professionals.

In addition to providing traditional brokerage services for Buyers and Sellers of Residential and Commercial Real Estate, Transcend Realty & Development specializes in Real Estate Investments which promote Personal, Business and Community Development.

Since founding Transcend Realty & Development Carlisle Mitchell has created systems and processes which have streamlined the Real Estate transaction process.

RealtyandDevelopment.com, was launched with the goal of providing a more cohesive experience for Buyers, Sellers and Real Estate Professionals.

In the Community
When Carlisle is not performing his duties as President of Transcend Realty & Development or managing investment projects, Carlisle frequently speaks at events throughout the US. "My philosophy has always been an educated community is an empowered community. Sharing knowledge and information can inspire growth and encourage stronger ties and cooperation, which is the essence and strength of any community."

In 2007, Carlisle founded Urban Assist a non-profit organization with an emphasis on personal, business and community development.

In a June 8, 2008 press release to announce the launch of a new Rent to Own Home Ownership Program Carlisle Mitchell issued the following statement- "We have a social responsibility to develop programs to make the dream of home ownership a possibility for everyone. Our Rent to Own Home Ownership Program makes home ownership possible for many who would otherwise not qualify."

Personal life
As a high school basketball player Carlisle helped lead his team to the city championship and an 18-0 record.

Carlisle enjoys quiet evenings dining with friends and associates and has a collection of menus from restaurants throughout the U.S. Carlisle, who also enjoys cooking, has plans to open a restaurant & lounge in the near future.
