In order to become licensed in the State of Texas you must first meet the following criteria:
an individual must be a citizen of the United States or a lawfully admitted alien, eighteen (18) years of age or older and a legal resident of Texas.

Before applying for a real estate Salesperson License, an individual must first furnish the Commission satisfactory evidence of successfully completing the following education:
This breaks down to basically 7 classes, 5 core classes and 2 electives.
You may take these classes in two formats, traditional classroom or on-line. Students who have participated in both agree that on-line is faster but the traditional classroom allows for more detail and comprhension.
