OAK PARK HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT FILM MAKERS- PRESENTED BY CAROL LEE, OAK PARK CA HOMES FOR SALE
Okay, I realize we live in Southern California. And here in the Conejo Valley, as in other area of Southern California, there are a lot of people in "the biz". Parents who are directors, producers, cameramen, actors, stunt guys, etc. Which makes for a very talented gene pool. One of my own sons, when he was about four years old, asked how he could get to be a famous kid. My answer was to study hard, be smart, and go to college. He meant how could he be famous in the movies or on TV. We tried it for a bit. He was in one music video. I hated being a stage mom, and he decided he would rather play soccer with his buddies.
This year, Oak Park High School, in an attempt to offset the boredom of the usual school announcements over the school PA system, allowed some of the seniors to make video announcements. Below is a video of some of the announcements made this year by some of this year's graduating seniors. And if you look carefully, you may see the young man who is my oldest son.

ABOUT WESTLAKE VILLAGE, CA
in 1963, the American-Hawaiian Steamship Company bought a 12,000 acre ranch and partnered with the Prudential Insurance Company on the planning and development of a city in the country. In the late 1960s, early 1970s, the original community of "Westlake", in Conejo Valley, California, was divided and two-thirds of the community was annexed by Thousand Oaks, which is in Ventura County. In 1981, the remaining third, in Los Angeles County, was incorporated as the City of Westlake Village.
Known as an elite and secluded city, Westlake Village is a community surrounding an artificial lake which straddles the counties of Los Angeles and Ventura. It is considered to be one of the more wealthy communities in the greater Los Angeles, CA area. There is confusion as to where Thousand Oaks ends and Westlake Village begins, abetted by overlapping postal codes, streets names, and numbers. So, many of the residents and businesses like to capitalize on the status of Westlake Village by using "Westlake Village" as the city in their mailing addresses.
Westlake Village is home to several corporate headquarters such as Dole Food Company, K-Swiss, Homestore.com, and others. New businesses are relocating or expanding into business parks such as the Spectrum Business center and the Westlake North office park.

Students from the Ventura County part of Westlake Village attend school in the Conejo Valley Unified School District.
