Today for lunch, the Carousel Realty team went to Reelfoot Lake to eat at Lakeview Dining Room.
For months, my trainer, Jackie Keeling has been telling my team that he was going to take us to Lakeview Dining Room at Reelfoot Lake for lunch. Many of us have been telling Jackie that this is our favorite place to eat at Reelfoot Lake. Two of my team members(Realtors) and also my personal assistant were not able to attend today's luncheon..
Reelfoot Lake was formed in the 1800's by an earthquake that allowed the Mississippi River to actually flow backward and overflow into this area.
Today, Reelfoot Lake is a very popular tourist destination and a great place to hunt and fish. I deer hunted there last year and just went there a couple of weeks ago fishing. Down below will be pictures of the team eating lunch at Lakeview and pictures I took while inside the restaurant.
By the way, I had a fried chicken plate(like always) and it was great. The others ate catfish plates.



Yesterday, a customer called and said he was having to sign up time after time to search our Dyersburg/Dyer County MLS for houses for sale in the Dyersburg area.

The Dyersburg Dyer county fair came to Dyersburg on labor day and extends through Saturday the 12th of September. The fair is always during the first "full" week of September.
There is so much to do and see at the fair. My daughters entered vegetables from our garden, crafts that they personally made and also cooked several desserts and entered them as well. I even entered some of my vegetables and we all got ribbons and money for our entries.
Last night we attended the magic show with Brian Staron who got his first start in magic by performing here in a talent competition. Brian is now employed at Disney World as a full time magician and entertainer.
Today, the school systems are out for fair day. I have been about three times this week and shot a few pictures with my blackberry and those are down below.


Dyersburg,Tennessee is a great place to live and raise a family!

Over the last several years, my family and I have vacationed on the emerald coast of Florida. We have always stayed at the Pelican Beach Resort in Destin. This is a beautiful resort in the heart of Destin and located only about a mile from the Destin airport where we fly in, tie down the plane and get a rental car.It is located directly on the beach with an unobstructed view of the gulf.
About 8 years ago we started watching the property values of the DestinPelican Beach Resortcondos start climbing through the roof. My wife said she sure wanted to buy one of those Destin condosbut I told her that one of these days the prices will drop and drop they did. The prices peaked in 2006 and have been on a steady decline up until recently. Now, the Pelican Beach Resort condosare slowly starting back up.
About 9 months ago I contacted a prominent Destin real estate firm about my future plans to buy a condo in Destin but more specifically at the Pelican Beach Resort. I was connected with one of the broker's team members who stated she would be happy to assist me. I told her of my plan to be down there the next week on a family vacation. I also told her I would like to meet with her or if she wasn't available then meet with her broker.
A couple of days into the vacation, I called my new agent and she told me she should be able to meet with me the next day and I told her that would be fine and I looked forward to meeting her. I also told her if she could not make it, have her broker meet with me. For the next 3 days of our vacation, I never heard from her or her broker.
