Dyersburg Remodeling Company "Jones and Jones House Doctors"

Dyersburg re modelers

I have some personal friends here in Dyersburg,Tn named Ray and Christy Jones who do small remodeling jobs and their business name is Jones and Jones House Doctors.

The first time I met Ray and Christy was a couple of years ago when they called me to sell their house. They were moving out of town for a new job.

They purchased this house(it was a foreclosure) and wanted me to market and sell it after they completely remodeled it from top to bottom. Down below are some pictures from the finished product.

They are currently remodeling a house in Missouri and will complete that house in about 10 days.

Christy's specialty is painting and wallpaper and Ray's specialty is carpentry, cabinetry and floor covering. They only bid projects below $25,000 but they guarantee their work and offer free estimates.

Ray and Christy Jones(Jones and Jones House Doctors) are dedicated professional home re modelers who I highly recommend for any small Dyersburg area remodeling project. Dyersburg Area's Best Travel Agency!

I just got off a 14 day Alaska inside passage cruise and land tour. This was booked for my wife and I by Glenn Ashley owner of Glenn's Travel & Tours. Glenn goes on many of the trips that he sells others so that he can see for himself what he is selling to his clients. Glenn Ashley did not go on our cruise with us but has gone to Alaska in the past. In the group that he put together(including my wife and I) were several other couples and two of these couples had taken this same cruise with Glenn before.

Glenn did a great job getting us set up for this vacation and he took care of the airfare, connections between airport and ship and all the overnight lodgings and many of the extra tours we also went on.

I highly recommend Mr. Glenn Ashley and Glenn's travel and Tours. We have known Glenn Ashley for a very long time and let me tell you in my opinion he is Dyersburg's best travel agent.

When you click into Glenn Ashley's website click on the pictures and you will see my wife and I panning for gold at an Alaska gold mine.

I asked Glenn Ashley to write me a short message about his company and here it is below.

I'm Glenn from Glenn's Travel & Tours. I have been selling travel and helping dreams to come true since 1988. I will be celebrating my 10th anniversary as owner and operator of Glenn's Travel & Tours in 2010.

I have been fornunate to have traveled to so many destinations and gained first hand knowledge. We arrange group travel and feel out biggest asset is service after the sale.

We are preferred with several venders ,and that allows us to work closly with them.

Our goal is to provide you with the best customer service, the best accommodations, at the most affordable price. We welcome you to visit out webb site at www.glennstravelandtours.net to see some of our satisfied clients, as well as next year's group departures.

Remember to give us a call at Glenn's Travel & Tours. It's where your perfect vacation begins.

Another Dyersburg area foreclosure!

My friend Mr. Cooper at Dyersburg Realty just listed a 4 bedroom 2 bath foreclosure located at 1500 Red Bell Road in Newbern,Tn 38059.

This foreclosure belonged to an acquaintance of mine who left a job for another job and got laid off. He had a conforming loan on this house and these are what we are seeing being foreclosed on now. I believe the non comforming B-paper foreclosures have run their course and now just the "A" paper is defaulting.

The last owner paid $159,000 for this house in October of 2002. The county has it valued at $148,900. Before losing this house the owner had it listed for $184,900 and reduced it to $179,900. He was overpriced to start with and just rode the recession down until he bailed.

I showed this house last year and made the comment that it was a nice house that was overpriced. The heated and cooled square footage is 2267' and it sits on 2.1 acres.

This house is in a good location and should sell within the next 60 days. If you would like more information or would like to view this house just call Mike Frazier at 800-896-8016. Dyersburg area foreclosure

One of Dyersburg's Best Residential Contractors!

Dyersburg, Tennessee has many fine residential contractors but one of the best is Billy Turnbo doing business as Residential Specialties. Although he also does commercial and industrial construction, his real passion is building houses.

Billy Turnbo(Residential Specialties) has been in the construction industry for over 30 years with most of that time working for Forcum Lannom Contractors here in Dyersburg.

Before Billy retired from Forcum Lannom, he started building houses part-time and was actually my partner on several residential and commercial jobs. I chose to partner with Billy Turnbo because of his professionalism and attention to detail.

A few years ago, Mr. Turnbo retired from Forcum to devote full time to building on his own. At that time, I chose to retire my contractor license and work for Billy Turnbo as his Realtor. There are not many residential contractors who devote so much time to detail and make sure everything is just right from the ground up.

Residential Specialities builds custom homes as well as speculative homes.

Because Billy Turnbo does not have an office, he can keep his overhead low and give the customer a great job at a competitive price. The pictures include Billy Turnbo, his yard sign and his current project.

This is one small business in Dyersburg that I highly recommend!

What's there to do for entertainment in Dyersburg,Tn?

Last Saturday my father in law and I got up at 5am and drove 20 miles to Reelfoot Lake. We were going fishing but in a different kind of way.

Actually we were going yo-yoing. Do you know what that is? The little contraption looks sort of like a yo-yo but one end you tie to a tree limb and you pull out the line with hook on it to the depth you want to fish. We put worms on the hooks and set out about 40 of these yo-yos.

It was a beautiful day and we had a great time. We ended up with 7 catfish weiging an average of about 3 pounds. We got back home by noon so it was a short day on the lake. Hope you enjoy the pictures I took with my blackberry curve.Reelfoot Lake cypress treesReelfoot Lake CatfishReelfoot Lake CraneReelfoot Lake
