We are still experiencing mild weather in Virginia- nice enough to take the boat out for a spin on Smith Mountain Lake most days. Come on out and support the Smith Mountain Lake Charity Home Tour October 2-3, 2009. The following charities will benefit from the funds raised this year:

  1. Bedford Hospice House, Inc.
  2. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Virginia
  3. Free Clinic of Central Virginia, Inc.
  4. Free Clinic of Franklin County, Inc.
  5. Helping Hands of Franklin County
  6. Lake Christian Ministries
  7. Miriam's House
  8. Smith Mountain Lake Good Neighbors

SML Charity Home Tour

Spend the day touring these beautiful homes! You have the option of arriving by BOAT or CAR. DIRECTIONS to the homes are available. The tour will take place Rain or Shine and the eight homes on the tour are open from 10am -5pm both days. TICKETS are available at multiple locations and ONLINE. Sorry, homes are not handicapped accessible: no babies in arms or carriers or children under age 12. There are volunteer opportunities still available. (Stop by and say hi at the Mason house!)
