It is a spectacular Championship Golf Course designed by PGA Professional Bruce Devlin.  Amenities available at Brandywine are tennis, golf and a swimming pool.  Boat access and storage are also available.  There are many subdivisions within Brandywine Bay that include condo's, town homes and single family residential. It is still a great time to buy a home in Carteret County. The interest rates are the lowest they have been in 38 years and the supply is ample.  No one can predict the bottom of the market until it happens. Once it does happen, prices will be going up before you realize it.  Don't miss out on the best opportunity you may ever have to buy a home.

Below is the January 2009 Market Trend.  There are currently 36 homes for sale in Brandywine Bay.  From the statistics, we see that the average days on the market are longer the past 3 months, which is 324 days.  Looking at the average list to sale price ratio, homes still need to be lowered to sell.  If you are a seller, just remember that if you are going to buy another home, you will get a great opportunity for savings.  There is a 21.57 months supply of homes on the market for the last 3 months, but this is not counting town homes or condo's.

Carteret County, The Crystal Coast.

Carteret County NC

Welcome to Paradise!

Are you looking to relocate or make a lifestyle change?  Then you should consider "The Beautiful Crystal Coast in North Carolina."  I like to think of our area as  "A Little Piece of Paradise."  I can guarantee that once you visit the Crystal Coast, you will be back to smell the fresh salt air and possibly move here as a permanent resident. There is a magnetism that draws visitors back to the crystal clear waters, the carolina blue skys, the sandy beaches and the slower pace of life that we all are looking for.

Beaufort NC WaterfrontIf you prefer to live at the beach, then you will enjoy Bogue Banks in Carteret County. It is a continuous barrier island that is approximately 25 miles long. It includes Atlantic Beach, which the locals call the Main beach or the circle. A developer has planned to make some upscale changes to this area.  Pine Knoll Shores is west of Atlantic Beach and is a planned community sensitive to the delicate ecology of the Maritime Forest that surrounds it. Leaving Pine Knoll Shores west you will come to Indian Beach.  It is known for its beautiful beaches, sunbathing, surf fishing and water sports.  Next you will find Salter Path.  Many locals credit the early residents with bringing shrimp into the culinary limelight.  Emerald Isle, at the west end of Bogue Banks, is a vacation spot with plenty to do for the entire family.  The town offers many beach accesses for the locals and visitors.

If you prefer the mainland, then you may like Morehead City.  Remember most of the communities in Carteret County are within 20 minutes of the beaches. Morehead City is Carteret Counties largest town.  It is home to several events, which include the Annual NC Seafood Festival and the Big Rock Marlin Tournament.
Beaufort is the third oldest town in North Carolina and is in the center of Carteret County. Beaufort is a quaint historical town and has one of the most beautiful waterfronts I have ever seen.Beaufort NC Waterfront It is a favorite spot for visitors traveling by car or boat.  Down East is a local name for the land that stretches from the North River on the east side of Beaufort to Cedar Island which marks Carteret Counties Northeastern boundaries. The portion of U.S. 70 that runs through Down East is a North Carolina Scenic Byway.  This quiet drive is well worth the travel as you will view picturesque scenery such as marshes, canals and undisturbed places filled with wildlife.

Now that you know about the Crystal Coast,
don't you think it's time for you to visit our area?  Be prepared to stay, because you just may never leave.

Morehead City NC Seafood Festival

This years Morehead City NC festival could not have been any better. The weather was absolutely perfect with sunny skies and cool weather. If you have never been, mark your calenders for next year. Everyone has a great time and there is truly activities for all ages. And best of all, it is free.

The North Carolina Seafood Festival is a non-profit organization of Carteret County citizens and business people, in conjunction with the Town of Morehead City. It helps to recognize the importance of Seafood to Eastern North Carolina.

The availability of fresh seafood in the state and even the nation, would be greatly impacted without the fleet of commercial fishing vessels that come from Carteret County. One of the festivals goals is to recognize the many who have given their lives in their occupation and to thank those who do it today. Make it one of your goals to go to the "Blessing of the Fleet." This is a ceremony to recognize all our past and present fishermen and all they have contributed to our communities.

Don't miss out on next years events!
