Say Something Nice To Someone Today
My wonderful cousin, Tommy Wolfe from Savanna TN, who sends me those beautiful Sunday cards and messages each week just sent me this, and I wanted to share it with you. This is a true story of a 92 year old woman coming out of a store, after getting into her car a man jumped in the passenger side with the intent to rob her, instead he got a big surprise. Her story was aired on a local Memphis TN news station. It's an inspiring story about how this lady saying Jesus was always with her and ministering to the would be robber, turned a potential harmful situation into helping the person instead. Whoever this man is I hope this changed his life, I can't imagine how it would not have made a profound impact on him. We can all learn something from this short news clip, in fact there are a lot of lessons here when you really stop and think about it. People respond to someone with true convictions, and a kind word. She turned a totally negative situation into something totally different by her reaction to the situation. We all can, even if it is just by responding to someone who says something bad to us with something nice instead of nasty and getting mad. Being kind to someone is really an easy thing to do, we all should try it more often, the world would be a much happier, brighter place for all of us. So turn up the volume, and get ready to smile. Wish there were a lot more people like this kind lady in the world, and it can start with me and you.

I have a cross stitch my mother in law, who is no longer with us, did for me that says, "Do you suppose, oh could it be, that peace on earth might start with me"! I plan on going out of my way to find someone, hopefully more than one person to say something nice to tomorrow, and go out of my way to spread some love in the world. It's a habit, and a good one I'm going to work on, just say something nice to someone whose path crosses yours, in some small way we can all make a big difference.
"Today I will be nice to all those I meet, and say a kind word, a spontaneous good deed for another person", Liz Cater, Katy Texas
Thanks Tommy for always sending me such positive things. Love, Liffy.

Where to spend your advertising/marketing money to get the biggest bang for your buck?
How to say THANK YOU TO PAST CLIENTS, other REALTORS, or anyone for those referlas WITHOUT BREAKING THE BANK or going brook...great ideas for under $10
That is the ago old question of Realtors, sales persons, and we are in sales. I think you should spend it were you get the most return on your money...past clients. Yes I prospect for expireds and fsbo and they amount to approximately 20% of my business, with 80% coming from past clients, past clients referrals. I have some great ideals and have done some fun, lavish campaigns' for my past clients, the life blood of my business, like past client parties, etc. but we are only allowed one ideal for this contest. I have looked for years for an inexpensive way to say thank you to past clients for sending me their referrals of friends, neighbors, family, etc. I found it, and will share it with you here, including where to buy it all for a nominal price.
A great gift and the package to present it in, which is as important as the gift, kind of like the pretty paper, and bows you put on a present, makes it look so much better.
•1 Every time a client sends me a referral they get a personal phone call from me thanking them for the referral. The information is put into top producer my soft ware tracking system. For the first referral the past client is made an C contact type, 2nd referral a B contact type, and for the 3rd + they are made an A contact type (this is in addition to them being a past client type too)
•2 They are sent a special thank you card (the wrapping & bow) and a gift of a calculator & pen set, a million dollar bill.
You are thinking OK big deal, but it is...what do you send? This is the best part. The total cost for this comes to UNDER $10! TOTAL for EVERYTHING the gift, the million dollar bill, the custom thank you card, and the postage. HOW COOL IS THAT and it is something they use all the time. People like them so much I've had them call and ask to buy another one from me! Of course they are given another one at no charge.
•3 The calculator & pen set that is customized with your logo, name and phone # is only $4.95 (in bulk). Now this is not a normal calculator it rotates in a 360 degree angle when you open it and you logo/name is on one side and when it rolls to the other side your phone # is there. They are small enough to fit in your purse or pocket, and they are fun to play with. They are like puzzles, trying to figure out how it works since there is no hinges, it's like it has a magnet and it just keeps turning inside its self. Hard to explain, but they are FASCINATING AND PRETTY.
I paid $4.95 and ordered in bulk, I think I ordered 500, but you can order as few as one for $7.98

Inc Harriet Carter Gifts, Inc Welcome to calculatorsonline.com Calculator/Pen (P7806)
PERSONALIZED CALCULATOR & PEN is the perfect accessory for those on the go. It's great for figuring out tips at restaurants, calculating discounts at department stores and more. Silver-tone ball point pen can also be used as a stylus to press the calculator keys. Compact so it fits into a purse, pocket or briefcase. Case is personalized with your initials. Comes with button battery. 4-1/2" L.
•2.The thank you cards are also custom made too and they are only around $1.50 each. They are classy looking and several different styles to choose from. I use the one with the world on it. On the front it says "Your referrals mean the world to me", and on the inside it says, "Thanks a Million". They also have a slot for your business card.
Go to http://www.millionbill.com/, to see the complete selection of cards, million dollar bills, and place an order NOTE, THESE CARDS ARE OVER-SIZED SO THE MILLION BILL (WHICH IS THE SIZE OF A REAL BILL FITS IN WITHOUT FOLDINGIT...THEY ARE MADE SPECIALLY FOR THE BILL TO FIT IN, AND COME IN 4 DIFFERENT STYLES ALL WITH THE MILLION THEME...ALSO YOU GET THEM AT THE SAME PLACE AS THE MILLION BILL, www.millionbill.com. These greeting cards speak for themselves. All cards are printed on quality paper stock and measure 4-1/2" x 6-1/4". Inside of cards include insertion slots that hold your business card. Your cards are shipped with envelopes. Get the best effect by adding our Traditional Million Dollar Bills or your own Custom Million Dollar Bill. Use these cards to build your business with more referrals. Inside copy:
Million Dollar Greeting Cards Kit
Includes 100 Million Dollar Bills and 90 cards and envelopes. (15 each of all 6 styles) Only $95. A great gift idea!
Inspire people to meet with you by sending a Million Dollar Bill inside this eye-catching card.
Thanks a Million!
The Million Dollar Bill is of course also customized with your name, logo, etc. and cost $1.50 or less a piece. I buy 1,000 of them at a time for $149. I like the ones that look like a real million dollar bill, with my name and phone #S on the back side, but you can get them with your picture on the front or they have ones with Santa Clause on the picture. I also use these at my Mike Ferry training, and everywhere I go to pass out to other Realtors, or just people I run across. Everyone love them, and KEEPS THEM, so your odds are much better handing out a million dollar bill with your information

The front looks real, back has whatever you want on it, you can also have them laminated to use for a bookmark, the kids love them too! Use them instead of business cards, people keep them forever. I'v had agent at Mike Ferry superstar retreats tell me they have had my million dollar bill in the wallet for years as a motivator, and guess where they send their referrals...to Liz Carter & Team Realty!

I use these gifts and cards to send to other Realtors who send me referrals also, or for that matter anyone who sends me a referral, so if you would like me to send you one to try out...just send your buyers and sellers to Liz Carter & Team Realty, 21949-D, Katy Frwy. Katy, Texas 77450. 1-800-783-4041 www.lizcarter.com, I promise to give anyone you send me 110% great, friendly Texas service. Liz Carter
I was doing a little spring cleaning around my office this week and ran across this speech by Nelson Mandela. I'm pretty much a neat freak at home and at my office, so this was in it's place but like some things that are there awhile you tend to not "see them". Its kind of like "You can't see the forest for the trees" thing. I have always believed that you must keep your environment clean and neat, so piles of things sitting around drive me nuts. I'm always amazed when I see most agents office how they can possibly get anything done, I mean how can they find it for the stacks of files and papers everywhere? At my office my desk is always clear before I leave for the day, and I'm the same way at home. A cluttered office, or home is distracting, not to mention not very pretty or inspiring. At least to me. But I digress, one of my faults :). Nelson Mandela's speechI have hung in my prospecting room, which is the area in my office where I go to prospect for business. The only things in there are two phones of course, my scripts, people I need to call, buyers that need to find homes, and sellers that need me to find a buyer for them. I also have my goals posted, my "dream book" album, a couple of my favorite motivational quotes and that's it. No computers, no distractions, so when I go to work, I work. When I saw and read this again this time I decided I wanted to share it and my thoughts on this man that if admire so greatly. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have over the years.
This is what I wanted to share with you, and it is one of the few things in my prospecting area.
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is hat we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We were born to manifest the glory of God within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others." Nelson Mandela, President
This is from his inaugural speech in 1994 when he became president of the Republic of South Africa. It blows me away each time I read it, and I've read it so many times, but there is was and I had not read it in some time, it's that forest thing again. We get busy with life, and we forget we need these kinds of thoughts feeding our brain all the time, It goes past his words, my mind takes me to a place when I try to comprehend this
mans greatness, what he went through for so many years in his political prison cell on Robben Island in Cape Town, South Africato becoming president. He pulled a county together that could have gone into riots, and years of war, by forgiveness and wanting peace not war. Such a profound speech on how we all should strive for greatness because that was how God wanted us to be and created us for. This helped me through years of being shunned by my peers because I was succeeding at a much higher level than they were. It helped me in personal relationships with everyone and it helped me with my inner struggles on "Do I deserve this?". Yes, we all deserve success at the highest level, so I wanted to share it with you in case you had not heard it, or like me have not read it in awhile. Strive to be the very best that you can be, and rejoice in your successes, after all God does so who are we to doubt?
Have a blessed Easter, Liz Carter

Never Again In Your Lifetime.........
Easter this year is: Sunday March 23, 2008
As you may know, Easter is always the 1st Sunday after the 1st full moon after the Spring Equinox (which is March 20th).
This dating of Easter is based on the lunar calendar that Hebrew people used to identify Passover, which is why is moves around on our Roman calendar.
Found out a couple of things you might be interested in!
This year is the earliest Easter any of us will ever see the rest of our lives! And only the most elderly of our population have ever seen it this early (95 years old or about!). And none of us have ever, or will ever see it a day earlier! Here are the facts:
The next time it will be a day earlier, March 22nd, will be in the year 2285 (277 years from now).
The last time it was on March 22nd was 1818. So, no one alive today has or will ever see it any earlier than this year!

Wishing you and your family a blessed Easter no matter what day it comes on, filled with peace, love and joy.
I'm currently celebrating over 32 years in a career I treasure, and I also treasure my relationship with you. I have been very blessed over the years and my Real Estate Company and Family are all thriving and well as I hope yours are. Please remember me when you hear of anyone that needs a knowledgeable, respected Realtor with many years of experience. I service the greater Houston, Katy, Sugar Land and surrounding areas of Texas.
Thanks in advance and I hope you have a great 08,
Liz Carter
