In 1989, when the Safeway grocery store was built, the developer had to cut into the hillside, removing a large quantity of dirt onto the current site of Nepenthe creating an area that was to become one of the most popular subdivisions in Sedona. There are 182 units on 25 beautifully landscaped acres complete with community pool and spa.
At Nepenthe, there is no one above you or below you. They all have attached one or two car garages and feature adjoining walls, not common walls, for better soundproofing. Unlike a condominium, you are actually buying the land and not air space'.
Nepenthe is not a gated community but, in Sedona, there is a very low crime rate so not many subdivisions are gated. It is not age restricted or pet restricted and each home has an enclosed back patio.
