Brook Furniture Rentals hosted us in their new showroom at

1777 Bothelo Drive, Walnut Creek. We feasted on organic

salads from Sunrise Bistro Café. Thank you so much!!!!

Dan Eason, President of Energized Seller, treated us to sweets

and drinks from Draeger's. He's offered a Bay Area stager a case

study with his company. This is a wonderful proposal that a fortunate

home owner will benefit from and in return a stager will blog on Dan's

site about the case study.

All nine questions from the RESA/SIF forum were discussed in a timely manner.

What an awesome group of incredibly nice ladies. It was such a pleasure to meet

each and every one of you. I was reminded today how important it is to connect

with each other and how important it is to share information!!

I was especially tickled to meet Ronelle Schroeder-Hill, Oomph Home Staging, from Vacaville!! Virtual Friends no more.....thank you for coming today!!!!!

Thank you to the National Sponsors, RESA, IRIS, ASHSR, HSR and to all who attended today!! It was an honor to facilitate this event. Truly, Cathy Lee

Visual Sales = SOLD

Home Staging is Visual Sales that create an impact and lasting impression that

SELL HOMES. The Statistics are proof!!

Creating warmth and setting homes apart from the competition maximizes their selling potential.

The key to selling success is hiring a Professional Home Stager. C. L. Design Services creates beautiful rooms resulting in homes typically selling within an average of 14-20 days.

Today we prepared a new home and strived to create a designer look without the price tag. http://www.realestateshows.com/348894

Survey Says.......Here's the Questions for the November Stage It Forward Round Tables

East Bay California's SIF Round Table is next week....Wednesday, November 5th at Brook Furniture Rentals Showroom in Walnut Creek at 1777 Botelho Drive, Suite 101, 11:30 am -1pm- lunch meeting. 1-2 pm. Social Networking.

Stagers nationwide let the SIF facilitators know what questions they wanted to discuss and here they are:

1. What brought everyone here today? a. Are we competitors or colleagues? b. How can we work together within areas as both competitors and colleagues to increase the positive visibility of the industry?

2. National Staging Associations. a. What are the Benefits of associations such as RESA and ASHSR? b. What do stagers need from Associations that would really have value to them? c. What are the differences between associations? d. Is it a good investment? e. Realtors belong to NAR-Which is a universal association for Realtors. How can we help the Home Staging associations grow to better represent us as well as promote the industry of Home Staging like NAR does for Realtors?

3. Standards. Standardizing the Industry. a. What exactly should that mean and who should have oversight? b. How can we educate the consumer on what Quality Staging means? c. How can we educate the public on staging terminologies and what that mean so that they are not confused by companies using common terms with different meanings? d. Interior design associations have been pushing for legislative standards concerning Home Staging. Why? e. Should there be a professional designation for stagers like NAR has for Realtors? What testing would be appropriate? What name should it be called?

4. What Continuing Education Opportunities Are There For Stagers?

5. Furniture Rental Companies, Friend or Foe? a. Isn't it a conflict of interest to work with a furniture rental company that also offers staging? b. Are there furniture rental companies that offer stagers a discounted price or do they all charge stagers the same as everyone else?

6. Mentoring a. Where do you go to find mentoring from experienced Stagers? b. What help do we need from mentors?

7. Real Estate Agents Who Stage? a. What is everyones experience with Realtors who provide free staging services to their clients? b. How can we educate the public about what credible staging is without stepping on Realtors toes, yet protecting our industry from being perceived as having no value?

8. How Do You Market To Real Estate Agents? a. Is it better to market directly to home sellers? b. What are the real objections to using a Stager?

9. Business Structure. a. Work alone or with a partner? b. Should you refer work? c. Rent or buy furnishings? d. How to find professionals to provide legal and financial services for stagers? e. How will the declining economy and real estate market affect the staging industry?

Let us Give Thanks to our Sponsors!!!
