I MET JODEE 5 YEARS AGO. SHE HIRED ME AS AN INTERIOR DECORATOR FOR HER DESIGN HOUSE. SHE SAW SOMETHING IN ME, THAT I DIDN'T SEE IN MYSELF. SHE TOOK ME UNDER HER WING. SHE TWEEKED AND SHAPED, THEN TWEEKED AND SHAPED, UNTIL THIS BEAUTIFUL CREATVE GIFT OF MINE, HAD GIVEN BIRTH.

JODEE WAS THE INSTRUMENT THAT GOD USED TO BRING "MY CREATIVE GIFT" INTO FRUITION. THIS GIFT HAS BROUGHT SUCH A SWEET JOY IN MY LIFE, THAT UP TO THAT POINT , I'D NEVER KNOWN. A GIFT THAT HAS BLESSED ME BEYOND MEASURE.

MY DEAR JODEE, I WILL MISS YOUR BEAUTIFUL SMILE & YOUR WONDERFUL LAUGHTER, BUT I KNOW THAT YOU WILL REMAIN CLOSE BY, TO ALL WHO LOVED YOU.

It's all in the "Giving"

Times are tough right now, we cant deny that. We all have bills to pay, children to feed, the list goes on & on. Business seems to be at a "stand still" right? So what do we do?

Why not extend a hand to our neighbors & communities. Listen folks...It's times like this...right here right now, that inspire us to rise to the occasion. When we give of ourselves & talents, something GREAT begins to happen to us on a deeper level.

This also creates a ripple effect that flows to our communities and then straight back to us. It's not about what "I" can GET...It's about what "I" can GIVE.

When we take the focus off of ourselves & give from the heart, the things we were previously concerned with...simply work themselves out.

OK I'm sure some of you are saying "Yeah Catz, WHATEVER".....I challenge you to try this.

Maybe it's an elderly neighbor that would love just to have some company, or a single mom or dad that could use a few hours to call their own.

My talent is in Home Staging, what talents do you have? How could they benefit your community? I promise you once you begin GIVING of yourself & talents... the world smiles back at you.

Remember the old saying...You GET what you GIVE.

America became a great nation, from people who believed in being involved in helping their neighbors & community. Some where along the way, we have lost our way.

One by one we can turn this thing around. It's going to be ok.....I guarantee it. All we need to do, is go back to the basics...

Home Staging is about thinking outside the box...I'm sure you avid HGTV lovers have seen this project possibly. It's really pretty simple. I decided on an abstract nude, but you can use just about anything you want. I also did a Large vase, that turned out pretty WOW. I will try to do some photo cropping to share this also. Take a look....

First of all you decide on the art. I found this online & printed a copy. I then went to a print shop, and they made a projection film for me.

I'm ready to go..all I need now is the projector....Luckily I had a friend that had one. I'm pretty sure you can find one to rent, at your local rental shop.

I first taped off the size, then I painted the white background. I then projected the art on the wall. I took an artist pencil and traced the art.

I then came in and outlined the shape with my black paint. By doing the outline first, it makes it easier for the fill in. I came in with the gray, then went back & tweeked here & there..

.To give it a finished look, I used basic molding & cut it to size. You can either glue, or staple this to the wall. I also put an art lamp which gives it a "Gallery" type look.

Then, this is the COOL thing , you get to sign it....You have just created your very own art...How Cool is that...Gotta LOVE it...I LOVE Home Staging

Ok, I cropped the vase the best I could, Its at an angle, but I believe you"ll get the idea..

You use the same technique with any art...It's VERY doable...and you will WOW anyone that sees it..

Give it a try...you're going to surprise yourself...I promise..Well I gotta run, but stay tuned for some more fun projects.

Home Staging 101 " Art Ideas" Cleveland, Tn

Lets face it , where would we be without art & accessories. In Home Staging, having the right pieces to create a cohesive space is essential. A space without accessories & art , is like a cake without icing. Unfortunately it can get pretty pricey.

This gives us an opportunity to get creative. We begin thinking " outside the box". We usually are blown away by the creations we come up with, when we take that step of faith. Thats a BEAUTIFUL thing. In addition we save money..gotta LOVE that...

I"d like to share a couple of Home Staging projects I have done & hopefully inspire you to take that step of faith...We might not be a Van Gough, ,but we CAN do some simple art that works.

I LOVE to shop at the local Goodwill stores. There is a couple of reasons. I know that any purhase I make it's going to help someone locally. In addition I have found some of my most treasured pieces from the Goodwill Store.

This piece cost me $15 . I loved the retro lines. It was surprisingly in good shape. I sanded it down, painted it with a flat black paint. I then taped off 1.5" horizontal stripes in silver over the top & legs.

This piece had 6 drawers, I thought the diamond pattern worked well with it. I measured the center top.sides, & bottom, then taped off my design. I filled it in with the silver paint. Total cost around $30...

United Wholesale is another great place to find some really cool stuff. Most of the merchandise has been damaged in some way, so it is really affordable. I found this piece at United Wholesale. The finish had been scratched, and their was a corner chipped. (For future reference I will have b-4 pics...I know ...I'm bad about that..always an after thought)

It measured approximately 3ft.....brand new without flaws...this art would of cost hundreds in a design house...my cost $ 20. I simply sanded the finish & painted the surface a creamy white. I then taped off a 1" stripe and painted it black. The medallion in the center was in perfect condition... VOILA the ffinished product..total cost about $ 25.... I love Home Staging & I know you do too.
