How many of you woke up Friday morning, after two days of Christmas celebration, spending time with friends and family, eating heartily and searching for the appropriate batteries to plug into new toys?
Well, I decided to get into the office right after helping my wife straighten up after our guests left. I figured it to be a slow day (Friday after Christmas) and if nothing else, I would satisfy my own conscience, telling myself,, "If I am doing the right things, the right things are bound to happen".
I noticed it felt cold in the office (a building my brother owns. We are fortunate to have this quaint little building, one of the only buildings that stands on it's own in the heart of town).

Now, it is balmy in Wisconsin today, at least 29 degrees and no wind. However, it was still cold in the office. Checking the thermostat, it read 48 degrees and it was set for 61.
That did it for me. The thoughts of generating new presentations, coming up with new marketing ideas, cleaning out my briefcase, make some follow up calls, were all erased from my mind and replaced with the time consuming task of getting the heat back on.
It is now 215pm, I had to call a contractor and the heat is back on (51 degrees.... heat wave). Instead of getting right back to work, all I can think about is reclining on my couch at home in front of a fire and eat some left over cheesecake!
My challenge to anyone who reads this to give me some sound advise to boost my motiviation level and to stay on task no matter what distractions may come our way.
I hope you all have a safe weekend.
Sincerely,
Greg Cavaiani

If a loved one or someone you know is in need of employment and has Christian way about them, I cannot recommend this organization enough. Not only is it my brother's ministry, but what many don't know is that he followed his passion and how God called him and left a very lucrative real estate career in 2004. Jay Cavaiani was one of the best known agents in Southeastern Wisconsin and was known as the Kettle Moraine Specialist. I owe my career to him. He is truly an inspiration, walks the walk and talks the talk. Please check out his website. Like everyone else, ministries are also having some difficult times in this market. www.campusway.org jay@campusway.org Position Description: Our ministries home office in Dousman consists of the director and currently one part time assistant. We also have a total of 6 ministry staff ministering to students on 6 campuses in Waukesha County. We are currently seeking to replace a part time assistant position with a 20-30 hour per week administrator position. This could be full time work or possibly turn into that depending on the candidate and both the ministry and candidates needs. The ideal candidate would both be good at working under the leadership and authority of the director while also bring a personal dynamic to help take the ministry beyond where it is today. The position in a ideal world is very diverse: The ideal candidate would do anything and everything to take the ministry to the next level. So I will list some common things but ideally the candidate would be a self starter that brings new ideas in time to the position as well. Description of activites would include: Writing and following up with grants (model is already done), donor data base organization into new software, fundraising and fundraising events, detail organization of all administrative aspects of an office, making promotional fliers for camps, retreats, and ministry promotions, accounting, website editing, letter writing, expediting thank you and follow up systems, furthering our ministry manual, organization, organization, and more organization. A self starter is critical to this position. Someone who is going to come in and make organizational changes on their own, yet under the authority of the director is what is needed. This position would work independently about 1/2 the time and with the director about half the time. There may be approximately 8 evening appointments per year and attendance at our summer camp and winter retreat (2 hours away) would be bbeneficial. Most likely this would be a highlight of the position. The director is an entrepeneurial, visionary, passionate ministry minded person and needs someone to compliment him and have joy in doing whatever will help the ministry even if its not their favorite thing. It may make sense for this person to help consult with volunteers or students to do some aspects of the position that anyone can do so that this position can accomplish even more. The person should have the attitude that if they don't know how to do something or dont' know an answer the person is confident enough to whatever necessary to figure it out and report back to the director. The ministry has grown rapidly since its inceptions over two years ago and with the right people, systems, and funding we can continue to impact more adults and students. Please send some type of resume, a 1/2 page letter of why your interested, and approximately 1/2 page testimony to jay@campusway.org. Pay is variable and will depend upon experience and skills. It could range from $12-$20 per hour. Please only apply if you feel lead to pursue this position. This is not for someone just looking for a job but more so someone who is looking to serve God in this capacity. May God bring the right candidate and help me to be the right director! The position will likely start with a 30-90 probation period with an increase in pay after both parties know the position is for them. I'm excited to get someone in and see how they can help shape and grow the ministry and ultimately help disciple more students and adults. My hope is that the position would be one of mutual encouragement as well as spiritual and personal growth! Hi all,
As the snow flies again, making my beautiful drive through the Kettle Moraine Forest twice as long, I start thinking of my 2009 marketing plan, how much money I should spend, where I should place it and what will be most effective. I have been very fortunate through the years to rely on a wonderful woman by the name of Dana Koelpin, who is the owner/operator of "Look into Design".

http://lookintodesign.com/ Dana@LookIntoDesign.com
Dana is a graphic designer and always has a plethora of ideas and pieces to market yourself, your company or whatever you want to get out there, business related or not. Best of all... her PRICES! Actually, that really isn't the best thing. What I really appreciate is her follow up, turn around time and quality........but again, her prices can't be beat. She caters to real estate agents and knows our business, but I would recommend her and her company to anyone in need of marketing. Check out her website and you will see the incredible amount merchandise she has available for us. Give her a call and tell her I sent you.
P.S. I don't have to mention this, but she is my sister-in-law. I am sort of hoping she sees this in time for Christmas in hopes my present is a little larger under the tree!!!!
Seriously, our whole office just ordered business cards this past week and we love them.
Sincerely,
Greg Cavaiani
