One of the best ways to experience Summerfest is the way our subdivision does it from River Bluff Circle in Oconomowoc, WI. A bus is chartered right from a cul-de-sac in the neighborhood and we pile in with our coolers of refreshments, which takes us righ to the front gate. We are blessed with some corperate executives who are able to provide entrance tickets and we visit as many bands, beer tents and food vender as we can for the next 8 hours. The bus then takes us home, almost back to our doorstep. Can't beat it!!!!!

Kettle Moraine Days festivities will be held on June 26, 27 & 28 at the Village Park.
Kettle Moraine Days is a festival for Eagle and the surrounding communities. The Eagle Fire Department, Eagle Lions Club and the American Legion Post 535 sponsor this great event. They are all nonprofit organizations made up of volunteers who give their time, not just for this event but all year. Our volunteers provide many important services to the public. The money raised through events like this goes directly back into your communities through their services.

Here in the Midwest, we are experiencing a heat wave. Upper 90's with high humidity! I know it isn't the extreme some areas of the country can experience, but we definitely have the extremes hear in Wisconsin. It wasn't that many months ago, we had -40 temperatures with the windchill and piles of snow.
What I have learned about the real estate market, or the pattern of buyer's behavior during these extremes is this. One tends to focus on comfort and survival verses the luxury of home buying during these extreme weather conditions. Or, it could be that Realtors are doing the same thing.
Whatever it is, there always tends to be a slowdown and the phones slow down a tad.
What I try to focus on during these times is the following; planning my next weeks activities, create "to-do" lists, market updates for my listings and try to come up with a new market piece or strategy. When that doesn't work, in the summer I go the lake and water ski. In the winter I go snow skiing. Some of the best advice I have ever received is: When it gets slow, take a break and do something you enjoy. You will hate yourself if you don't when it becomes crazy busy again....
