Tonight I watch the NCAA Men's Basketball Championship game cheering for the representatives of the Big Ten, Michigan St. They are losing by 19 as I type. I think how wonderful the memory will be for many of them to have the ability to compete for the national championship. But right now, they are not feeling that appreciation. Their thoughts are filled with the focus of crawling back and finding a way to succeed. How to survive and win.
This isn't much different than many displaced and out of work families in the very city this game is being played, Detroit. I don't think those workers who are out of a job are thinking back and telling themselves how wonderful and proud they felt about working for an American Auto Company. They are trying to figure out how to survive and win again.
Those of us in Real Estate are looking for ways to win as well. We are very fortunate in the fact that in most cases, agents aren't let go or laid off. We truly are blessed with the opportunity to compete everyday. And when we get out there and competing, we are always giving ourselves the opportunity to win.
I thank God everyday for the opportunity, regardless of the results!
I will be competing tomorrow. And I will WIN!

The Cavaiani Team started in 1993 when Jay Cavaiani, fresh out of college, started a successful real estate career.
