Come in OUT OF THE RAIN!!! or Play in the RAIN!

Did your Mother or Father or as parents yourself ever say "get in out of the rain", seems this place can take up a lot of your time and energy that is not spent in other places. So I was just wondering how much time the rest of you take out of your day to play in the rain. And do you feel it is time well spent? Thanx, Chuck.

I did it.

  • I am....Soooo thankful for what I have.
  • I think....of my Dad every day.
  • I want....for nothing.
  • I have....it all, my love(Peg), my health, my family, my friends,
  • I wish....I could have done more for some.
  • I hate....no one, even though some may hate me.
  • I miss....all the ones that had to leave.
  • I fear....no one, as a "stranger" is simply a friend you haven't met yet.
  • I feel....that sometimes everything you want takes everything you've got
  • I smell....the roses every single day now!
  • I search....and you get what you focus on.
  • I wonder....what will be around the corner next. (Wisdom belongs in wonder)_"Socrates"
  • I regret....you are responsible for the result you create.
  • I love....with all my heart, and soul.
  • I care....about our clients as much after as I did before they signed the agreement.
  • I always....Remember where I was when I began. It increase my compassion for people just beginning.
  • I am not.... always ring but I try to "Always do what is right, it will please some people and astonish the rest."--Mark Twain
  • I believe....it's not how many times you fall; it's how many times you get up.
  • I dance....this summer twice, at our son wedding and at our daughter's wedding.
  • I sing....praises to all our children every chance I get.
  • I write....very little, and try to do more,
  • I win....as I believe and act as if it were impossible to fail.
  • I lose...if I do not learn from our successes. Success is a few acts of discipline executed every day.
  • I listen....and try to find out what people want and help them get it.
  • I can usually be found....with one call.
  • I'm scared of....not being or doing enough.
  • I read....so I make a list of books I plan to read every year.
  • I forget....everything and anyone that is negative. Forgetting can be just as important as remembering.
  • I just....finished this. I am happy about....the fact that I did!

I was MeMe'd by Russel Ray, and right off the bat I thought of sending this to Trevor Barr. So I'm tagging Trevor Barr of Simcoe Ontario, Canada. Trevor is a Realtor from Simcoe and should have some interesting answer. So you're it, Trevor. First, join the MeMe'sso you can see who has been tagged and read about them to give you an idea of what I've gotten you into. LOL Once you've done that, just complete the sentences below however you see fit.

No copying lest the ActiveRain Powers That Be (or Lenn Harley) take you to the wood shed for a good ol' fashioned verbal spanking.

Good luck!

Halloween Safety Tips

Halloween Safety Tips

BEFORE HALLOWEEN:

  • Plan costumes that are bright and reflective. Make sure that shoes fit well and that costumes are short enough to prevent tripping, entanglement or contact with flame.
  • Consider adding reflective tape or striping to costumes and trick-or-treat bags for greater visibility.
  • Secure emergency identification (name, address, phone number) discreetly within Halloween attire or on a bracelet.
  • Because a mask can limit or block eyesight, consider non-toxic and hypoallergenic makeup or a decorative hat as a safe alternative.
  • When shopping for costumes, wigs and accessories, purchase only those with a label indicating they are flame resistant.
  • Think twice before using simulated knives, guns or swords. If such props must be used, be certain they do not appear authentic and are soft and flexible to prevent injury.
  • Obtain flashlights with fresh batteries for all children and their escorts.
  • Plan ahead to use only battery powered lanterns or chemical lightsticks in place of candles in decorations and costumes.
  • This is also a great time to buy fresh batteries for your home Smoke Alarms.
  • Teach children their home phone number and to how call 9-1-1 (or their local emergency number) if they have an emergency or become lost. Remind them that 9-1-1 can be dialed free from any phone.
  • Review with your children the principle of "Stop-Drop-Roll", should their clothes catch on fire.
  • Openly discuss appropriate and inappropriate behavior at Halloween time.
  • Consider purchasing individually packaged healthy food alternatives (or safe non-food treats) for those who visit your home.
  • Take extra effort to eliminate tripping hazards on your porch and walkway. Check around your property for flower pots, low tree limbs, support wires or garden hoses that may prove hazardous to young children rushing from house to house.
  • Learn or review CPR skills to aid someone who is choking or having a heart attack.
  • Consider safe party guidelines when hosting an Adult or Office Party.

FUN ALTERNATIVES:

  • Find a special event or start one in your own neighborhood.
  • Community Centers, Shopping Malls and Houses of Worship may have organized festivities.
  • Share the fun by arranging a visit to a Retirement Home or Senior Center.
  • Create an alliance with College Fraternities, Sororities or Service Clubs for children's face painting or a carnival.

Preferred Professionals

Hi all, do any of you use a form or CD or ?? for having and making a preferred professionals list to give to your clients. I am asked all the time for referrals of professionals from bookkeepers to web designers. Now if you make up this list do you charge the professionals to be on it, do you limit it to one or do you put more than one of each type or trade. Thanx.
