I joined active rain about six weeks ago and posted a blog. Nothing happened, nothing fell out of the sky, and I didn't have a big deal fall in my lap. Therefore, I decided last week that I might need to do more. So I logged onto AR and started exploring the site. Now I think I am suffering from information overload or is it AR indigestion?
Have you ever read so much on this site that you don't know what to do next. I have read so much on SEO and REO that I think I am a WEIRDO. How can someone sit and read all this stuff like I have done? Now I have to find a way to digest it. I have tried all day to write an action plan from all the information, but have failed miserably.

I toast anyone that has a suggestion on how to control this overload and not let it overwhelm you to the point of feeling like a WEIRDO?
I am still pinching myself to see if I just had a bad dream or what. My team had this great listing and the sellers fell behind on their payments. We received an offer that would require a short sale approval by the bank. The short sale would net a loss of approximately two grand. After four months of not getting a response from the bank, the buyer walked.
We received another offer with the same net loss....and again no answer. This buyer walked as well. Then the home was vandalized. We still received two more offers. Obviously, the net loss became greater, but still under ten grand.
We never received any type of answer. Not a "yes", not a "no". Eighteen months later the home goes to a foreclosure sale and the bank buys the property back and sells it for 40 grand less than our first offer.
Can anyone tell me why the bank didn't cut their losses in the beginning? It would have saved them tons of money.

The ice storm of 2009 brought the longest icicle I have ever seen. I just had to take a picture and see how long it really was. It measured 38 inches and its twin right next to it measured 36 inches. These two icicles hung from my bay window and as the sun hit them today, they were glorious to behold.

Kentucky has declared a state of emergency, but this is not due to the housing market. An ice storm has shut down much real estate activity over the last couple of days. Power outages, ice covered roads and school closings have occupied the minds of residents in Kentucky.

Many residents have had to relocate to shelters until power can be restored to their homes. Fallen trees have created a great deal of damage to homes in the area.
