CENTERLINE HOMES AND EAGLE CREEK PARTNER WITH THE CENTRAL FLORIDA AFFILIATE OF SUSAN G. KOMEN FOR THE CURE ON BUILDER CONCEPT HOME SERIES SHOWCASE

ORLANDO, FL – Centerline Homes and Emerson International, the developer of Eagle Creek, announced today that all proceeds from the 2012 Builder Concept Home Series showcase will go to the Central Florida Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure to help end breast cancer forever.

The Concept Home Series, sponsored by Builder Magazine, is an annual showcase that spotlights important shifts in home design, building products and community development. The 2012 show, dubbed “A Concept for the Ages,” will include three distinct homes, each reflecting the lifestyle needs of a generation, specifically Baby Boomers, Gen X and Gen Y.

The concept homes will first be unveiled to delegates at the International Builders Show in Orlando from February 8-11. The homes will be open to the public from February 18-26, with all proceeds from admissions going to the Central Florida Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
“We’re honored to be chosen by the leaders of the national homebuilding industry to build the three concept homes,” said Robert Hutson, President of Centerline Homes’ Central Florida Division.

“The Concept Homes Series annually attracts thousands of people who want to see the latest trends, building products and design strategies, so we wanted to partner with a local organization to benefit Central Florida. We chose Susan G. Komen for the Cure, which has been a leader in breast cancer awareness and research,” Hutson said.

He added they expect more than 10,000 people will tour the homes when they open in February.

“These are truly new, trendsetting designs for each specific generation,” Hutson said. “The design team has translated the lifestyle needs of each group within the context of a home ranging in size from 2,200 to 4,700 square feet. Members of each generation will find these homes exciting and innovative.”

Centerline Homes, one of the leading homebuilders in Central Florida, is building the Concept Home Series at Eagle Creek, a prestigious golf community being developed by Emerson International. Eagle Creek is located in southeast Orlando, adjacent to the burgeoning Medical City at Lake Nona, the health care cluster that includes the Sanford-Burnham Institute, VA Hospital and Nemours Children’s Hospital, among others.

In addition to Centerline Homes and Emerson International, the project team for the 15th Concept Home Series includes:

  • Woodley Architectural Group, Inc., of Littleton, Colo., which designed the Baby Boomer and the Gen Y models.
  • Canin Associates of Orlando, which designed the Gen X model and is doing the landscape architecture for all of the homes.
  • Kay Green Design, Inc. of Orlando, which is doing the interior design for all of the homes.

The Central Florida Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure was established in 1999 and serves nine counties in Central Florida. Up to 75% of the net proceeds raised by this affiliate stay within the Central Florida community to fund outreach programs and initiatives that address the specific unmet breast health needs within the nine county service area. To date, the affiliate has raised over $5 million through various fundraising events, including the annual Race for the Cure.

Susan G. Komen for the Cure is the global leader of the breast cancer movement, having invested more than $1 billion since its inception in 1982.

This oversized room (15’-0” x 20’-0”) features a bay-windowed sitting area, elegant coffered ceiling detail and two walk-in closets as well as a third wardrobe closet and linen closet. “The Rancho Viejo may be the only home in South Florida that has enough closet space in the Owner’s Suite to actually accommodate both his and her wardrobes,” continued Marton. “The closets are adjacent to an ultra-luxurious Owner’s bath that includes a Roman-style soaking tub, oversized stall shower and his and her vanities that include the elegance of granite tops with maple cabinets and the practicality of storage drawers.”

An additional bedroom and adjacent full bath are located on the other side of the first floor making this room ideal for a live-in relative, guest suite or home office.
The second floor of The Rancho Viejo is all about the kids. It offers families the luxury of space and includes 3 bedrooms (one of which has a private bath), 2 baths and a recreation loft, overlooking the family room, which will soon become the most popular room in the neighborhood.

New Homes

Style -- it’s what everyone is looking for in a new home. That “wow” factor that makes you look forward to coming home and happy to be there when you are. An unmistakable look and feel that friends and family notice from the front door to the smallest detail.

Style is in the spotlight all over Metro Orlando this Fall, and not just in the big estate homes where you expect it. There’s townhomes and more modest homes with plenty of it, no matter the price.

At Bella Vista, a gated community in Longwood 1 mile from Lake Brantley High School, Centerline Homes has 3 estate homes where style reigns supreme inside and outside. One of the most stylish examples is the Sonrisa, which features a kitchen with all the bells and whistles any chef could want. . .and more! The lavish kitchen opens to a dramatic 2-story family room, which then opens through French doors to a spectacular swimming pool and deck area.

“It’s an incredible home with more than 5,000 square feet of space and a spectacular pool, specially priced at $465,000 this week,” said Deb Marton, Sales and Marketing Director for Centerline Homes. “It has to be the most style for the money in Orlando.”

At Eagle Creek in southeast Orlando 5 minutes from Medical City, style comes in all shapes and sizes. Townhomes feature kitchens and master suites with all the luxury of custom homes, and start at only $159,900. “Perfect for the young single or married couple buying their first home; or for older couples who travel and want to be near the Airport,” Marton said.

There’s also a variety of golf villas overlooking the championship Eagle Creek golf course, and two collections of single family homes, many of which have golf course views – the ultimate in style!

Across Orlando in Windermere at Keene’s Pointe, Centerline recently introduced a collection of incredible homes, some of which are lakefront. Luxurious interiors include wood floors, dramatic 20-foot ceilings, marble and tile and all the finest appointments, with prices starting in the $700s.

But you don’t have to pay close to a million dollars for style. Just visit Woodland Lakes Preserve to discover style on a budget, where single family homes start in the $180s.
