La Premiere is a subdivision located just south of the town of Maurice, LA, off of Hwy 699 and not far from North Vermilion High School. Construction in La Premiere began in 2002 and is still going on today, with only a few lots remaining.
La Premiere features a neighborhood park for children and a pond with some of the homes having water frontage. There is only one entrance to the subdivision, which limits traffic and makes it a great place for children.

In 2009, 7 homes sold in La Premiere with an average price of $243,000 (or $107/sqft). Most of the homes in La Premiere have between 1900 and 2500 of living area. The restrictions for the subdivision state that the minimum square footage for a home shall be 1800 sqft of living area (heated and cooled). Lot sizes vary from 0.3 to almost an acre.

What makes La Premiere such a great place to live is the proximity to Lafayette; it takes about 10 minutes from La Premiere to drive to the Mall of Acadiana on the south side of Lafayette. And, of course, the fact that Maurice has much to offer, especially when it comes to great food (see my blog post about Maurice)
Directions: from Lafayette, head south on Hwy 167 (Johnston St.). After you pass the town of Maurice, turn right on Hwy 699. La Premiere will be on your left.
