This month I was looking for something to do with the kids and stumbled across one of the most fun and free nights the kids and I have ever spent together. The Calvert Marine Museum in Solomons, MD offer the first Friday of every month from 5-8pm free admission. This includes the museum, kids discovery room with new touch tank and fossil hunting, lighthouse tours, and boat rides on the Wm B. Tennison around Solomons Island.
I will have pictures posted soon to show what a great time we had and the fun things you can do. The next date will be on September 5th from 5-8pm. We are looking forward to going back again to have some more fun!
There is always something fun going on in Southern MD, especially for families. If you are coming to the area just call or e-mail me and I would be happy to give you lots of suggestions for areas to visit. Beautiful beaches, parks, museums, restaurants, shops and local events are always close by to enjoy.
Have a great day and enjoy the last weeks of summer!
