About Charlie Parker:

Charlie was born and raised in Victoria, before moving to Nanaimo at the age of 14. An Islander through and through, he's grown up on the area waters and considers being out on the ocean one of his greatest passions. An avid boater, he's raised his family to enjoy the spirit and freedom that the Gulf Islands offer.

As a former Senior Commercial Account Manager for an international bank, he enjoyed the company of many successful business people and views those experiences as a wonderful opportunity to learn and grow. (A two year transfer to the Prairies also gave him an appreciation of the Island lifestyle and weather.) As a result, Charlie's financing, business acumen and negotiating expertise are all utilized when working with both buyers and sellers.

Charlie was awarded the Chairman's Club Award. Only 89 RE/MAX realtors in Western Canada have received this distinction for sales volume. Charlie is also a Hall of Fame RE/MAX realtor. This prestigious award was earned after many years of contributions to the industry.

Charlie also believes in giving back to his community and has donated his time, energy and money to numerous charities, including the Children's Miracle Network, Operation Red Nose, Malaspina College Foundation, Port Theatre, Nanaimo SPCA, Canadian Kidney Foundation, and Nanaimo Family Life. Charlie also serves as Director for several local business organizations, including: the Nanaimo Chamber of Commerce, Edgewood Counselling and Transitional Service, and the Nanaimo Capital Corporation. As Past President of the Greater Nanaimo Chamber of Commerce and long time resident of the City of Nanaimo, he feels privileged to have been privy to so many positive changes. As a fan of the City, he agrees, Nanaimo is the best place in the world to "Work, Live and Play".
