The other day one of my clients asked where I go to get model rocketry supplies. I guess he knew that Jen and I had reached an accord where I gave up my dream of getting my private airplane flight license if she agreed to let me throw away a large chunk of my income on amassing an armada of radio controlled planes, helicopters, and Estes rockets.
I love toys. I guess I'm a boy at heart.
Without hesitation I turned him onto HobbyTown USA in The Seminole Shopping Plaza off of 29. There I knew Mike or Dave would take care of him. They would listen to his level of interest and match him with the best "toy" for him. And, they would give him the best advice both before and after the sale. I knew from first hand experience that when you go into Hobbytown, crushed bird in your hand, tears of disappointment streaming down your face, that these guys can fix almost ANY thing and guarantee you'll be up and running and out the door ready to fly in no time! I have witnessed first hand their attention to every single customer that walks through their door. Amazingly, they dole out advice on everything from fake miniature trees for train set-ups, to Estes rockets, to RC cars, planes, and boats, to the proper thickness of balsa for a wing of a WW II fighter model. They also have a build-a-bear hooshy-doo for the kidlets.
They are members of the Rivanna Radio Control Club as well as the Fluvanna County RC Flight Club. Check both of these sites out for awesome pics of some beautiful flying models!
