Congrats to the new owner and the seller of 820 Marion Lane. This short term lease purchase worked out perfectly for the buyer and seller. We closed on Monday, October 31, 2011 and all went well.

We're going to shout it out by sending just sold postcards to the neighbors. You just never know when someone in the neighborhood will be thinking about selling.

In the meantime, congrats again to the new homeowner and the seller.

Market Report: Centerpoint/Roebuck Area Remains a Hot Foreclosure Market

Market Report: Centerpoint/Roebuck Area Remains a Hot Foreclosure Market

The Centerpoint/Roebuck area was among the hardest hit at the height of the foreclosure debacle in 2008. Foreclosures in these areas were hitting the market so fast, that for a while, no one knew what was happening. In September 2011 66% of the foreclosure sales were acquired at $40k or less.

Today, Centerpoint and Roebuck still remain a mecca for foreclosure sales, but thanks to investors taking advantage of the unfortunate situation, resales have spiked and previous foreclosed homes are how new homes for those who had the wherewithall to take advantage of the lowest interest rates in recent history. And on top of that, many of the homebuyers are now living in homes that have either been completely remodeled or significantly update.

Let's Get This Party Started: It's Finally Here....Magic City Classic Weekend

Let's Get This Party Started:  It's Finally Here....Magic City Classic Weekend

Or as we used to say back in the day "It's A On Like-A Pop-A-Cone."

One thing that is undeniable:  It ain't no party like a Magic City Classic Tailgate Party.  RV's have been pulling in to town all weeks and the flood gates to Legion Field RV parking swung wide open.

Everybody is welcome to stop by any RV and dine like fat cats.  Get your choice of ribs, chicken, grilled corn on the cob if you fancy a little soul food delight.  Oh but dont' stop there.  If you feel like Living Lavida "Lobster" you'll find that too.  As a matter of fact, if you taste pallet desires it or craves it, you'll find it among the hundreds of parties going on at Legion Field.

We've got alumni from all points north, south, east and west that have converged on the city for the game, the food, the fun, the commarardarie and much, much more.

As for me.  Well, I've had my heyday back in the day...parading around the stands of Legion Field decked out in, 5 inch heels, dressed to the nines from head to toe.  But this year, I'll just be chilling at Friday night's concertat the Fair Park Arena featuring the mighty, mighty...............
