"Where's Anderson Island" they say!

Ever heard of Anderson Island?

The #1 question I hear from people when they ask where I live and work is "where's Anderson Island?"

Well, Anderson Island is the Southern-most island in Puget Sound. Accessed via a short 20 minute ferry ride from Steilacoom. This lovely island has approximately 1,100 full-time residents and countless "snow-birds".

Currently, the real estate market on the island offers an inventory of almost 60 homes with prices starting in the low 140's. There's waterfront, golf course and non-view properties; something for every budget. An added bonus is the community has 2 fresh water lakes, a salt water marina, 9 hole golf course and too many parks to list.

If you don't find what you're looking for in an existing home, consider purchasing an affordable parcel with prices as low as $5,500. There's even a lakefront parcel for $120,000 on beautiful Lake Josephine.

Do I have your curiosity up? Come on over and check it out....You won't be sorry.

Why Anderson Island?

About Anderson Island and How I came to the Island

Ferry at SunriseAnderson Island has a long and rich history of which I am happy to be part of for the past 7 years.

I moved to Anderson Island on December 1, 2000, from Lakewood. I stumbled across the ferry dock one day while riding my bicycle. I took a look at the ferry schedule and decided to go for a ride on the ferry and ride my bike around the island. Wow! I was in Heaven.

Weeks later, I had a client come to my office and apply for a home loan....and guess what? He was buying a home on Anderson Island. I could not believe the price of the home he was purchasing and the thought of living on an island intrigued me enough to go looking for a home.

Long story, short...I purchased a home and later sold it after Eric and I met and now we have a home on 5 acres along with all our animals....18 chickens, 5 turkeys, 3 cats and 2 dogs. Life is good.

I had been a mortgage broker for almost 8 years when a friend talked me into getting my real estate license and taking over her clientele so she could retire. That was the best move I've ever made...as far as my career.

I love what I do, I love the Island life.
