Cut Cauliflower from stem place into boiling water until soft. Mash just like potatoes, use your same ingredients from your favorite potato recipe if you wish. Enjoy with friends.
Roasted Garlic
Whole clove Garlic, Preferably Elephant Garlic
Peel extra paper from garlic leaving just a small amount of covering
In a small piece of foil, Leaving pod in tact, simply use a small amount of Olive oil(teaspoonish)salt and pepper, wrap and bake on 350 for 15-20 minutes or until pod is soft and spreadable. Pod will be dangerously hot, beware. Allow to cool a few minutes, baked garlic will simply squeeze from pod and spread nicely on a crostini.
I hope everyone has been busy with buyers the past couple of days. I have had several good contacts and will hopefully bring them to contract. Having your listings ready for the Holidays is critical. Families are in town visiting relatives and have shopping on their brain. I have had a lot of traffic on my Lake Hamlilton listings. Several second home purchase interests. So always have those pointer signs in place and flyers handy! My open houses have been attended nicely as well. I placed a Poinsetta at the front door simply to draw the eye and promote a touch of understated cheer that any Religion can relate to. I believe that simple pleaures such as this are better touches than the over used cheap Apple Pie scented candle that causes the smell sensative buyer to all but run through the house before you even get their name! My favorite Realtor is the one that say open houses do not work. I do not have a contract yet on the house I have held open, but I have met several local Orphaned buyers that want to sell their home and move to the Open house part of town. I wonder if the previous realtor that sold them their house they have to sell is the same one that continues to preach "open houses do not work"! One of my favorite lookers were the obvious "tire kickers." I knew immeadiately they couldn't afford the home and had no intention to do anything but harmlessly view the home...big deal, fine go tell your friends as well..bring them all. I picked up a $75,000 listing from my sweet tire kicker ladies and I gauranty they have handed my cards to more people, and talked about the great house they saw. It's all about the attitude folks. Oh yeah, can someone please remind me of that when I might need it most! Happy selling.

Southwestern Cream Cheese Roll
Ingredients:
2 cream cheese squares slightly softened
1 can whole cooked black beans
1 small can shoepeg corn
1 small can chopped green chilis
small bunch Cilantro
small bunch green onion
1 small red bell pepper
Open and drain all cans. Chop Cilntro. Dice bell pepper and slice green onion very thinly.
Between 2 sheets of wax paper, combine cream cheese and flaten to about 1/4 " thick.
Remove 1 side of the wax paper.
Spread Black beans, maybe not the whole can, on the cream cheese
Follow with all the rest of the ingredients saving just a touch of the fresh ingredients for garnish.
Do a lite salt and pepper
Do not over load with ingredients.
Pick up one side of the wax paper and carfully roll into log removing the wax paper as you roll
It would be best to have a plate ready when the last of the wax paper is removed as it is not fun to move.
Depending on the consistency of your cream cheese it may crack, no big deal!
Take a fork and do some light design on top of the roll.
I have used a dash of cumin on top of the roll for color and extra taste.
Sprinkle the rest of the fresh ingredients on top and around the log.
Serve with crackers, chips or whatever you want.
This may be done in advance and refridgerated, just wait to garnish right before you serve.
Hope this quick recipe saves soeones tail!!
Well the year is over and the Holidays are here which means our market can somewhat slow. This is also the time I beef up my ads and make sure my listings look great and my flyer boxes are filled. Everybody is home and checking out what is hapening, so it might be a real oppurtun time to shine. Minimal holiday decor is not necessarily bad within a listing because it can be homey and give the buyer something personal to relate to, sellers just need not be over the top, no giant yard Santas! You can certainly bet I will be offering an open house. The buyers that are out are serious buyers or they are crazy! A lot of relo's are shopping because their transfer begins at the beginning of the year and they have to be settled. So don't ignore your phone or assume no one will be out. Happy Selling.
