I wanted to give thanks to all the mothers, mothers-to-be and expecting mothers on their special day.
I am so grateful for the mothers in my life. One in particular; Connie Herrera my mother-in-law. This special lady has been a blessing since the day I met her. I have been married for 12 years on May 30 to my wonderful husband. Every day of our wonderful twelve years I have been so thankful for our relationship. Connie has provided moral support for us and our relationship since before we were married. I am thankful because it could very easily be the opposite type of a in-law relationship. Connie is generally interested in us. Not just my husband, but in my success and happiness. A true mother if you ask me.
Mom's help us through all parts of our lives. Thank you Connie for your time, honesty (yes I promise we will have kids one day), strength, knowledge, caring, thought fullness and support. I wouldn't be the person I am today with out your help. I also love your cooking. You make the best breakfast and tamales.
In the many years of us knowing each other Connie has also been a mom to her other children (total of 4 and 1 grandchild at home) and each of her 11 grandchildren. She always finds the time to call and check in on us. She makes sure we are okay and to come visit us regularly. Connie has been to both my graduation, weddings, birthday and major part of our lives and I just can't thank her enough. Connie you are truly a special person in my life & I hope that I can be half the mother you are. You are so dedicated! We just love you & hope your mother's day is as special as you are.
I have many people to whom I also give thanks too, but this blog is specifically for Connie.
Besides being a full time mom, grandmother of 11 she runs a cafe in Mason, TX (Pontotoc). If you are ever driving through hwy 71 from Llano to Brady or in Mason stop by her taco shop in Pontotoc. Connie makes the best enchiladas, tamales & hamburgers.

These nominees are selected by the current staff and is shown as an example for all of us whose commitment and pursuit of excellence serve as an example for all of us.
This years winner from our Alamo Title Company-Austin Branch is Evelyn Hinojosa. Evelyn has been working for Alamo Title Company-Austin for 10 + years and we have enjoyed every bit of it. Evelyn Hinojosa currently works for Janis Thomas in the Attorney department.
Evelyn Hinojosa and her award:

Here are some of the nice things her co-workers, managers and others wrote about Evelyn:
Evelyn goes beyond her normal job responsibilities everyday. It is her"normal." Since the launching of Softpro (new software) she is always there to train other employees. -- employee
I think in the 10 years she has worked here at Alamo, she has called in sick maybe 3 times. Evelyn comes to work everyday regardless of her circumstances and trudges through like she feels like a million bucks. She is one of the most dependable and reliable people I have ever had the pleasure to work with.--
You can put Evelyn on any special project and she works at it until she has an answer.--employee
Evelyn is commited to her co-workers and clients needs.--Christine Herrera
Evelyn is dedicated to completing her task and anything else assigned.--Christine Herrera
Evelyn always has the best attitude and is always willing to help out everyone, even if that means her work gets put aside.--Christine Herrera
Evelyn celebrating her award:

We appreciate all of our co-workers here at Alamo Title-Austin. Each eamployee contributes so much to our team and Alamo -family atmosphere.

One of my favorite topis is quotes. It can be a quote about leadership, business, or life in general. I think quotes help inspire people to take a quick moment out of our busy life and think about the little things that actually do matter to us in a particular situation.
