I sold a McMillin home a while back and received a bonus coin that I can pass on to other realtors if they are selling a Mcmillin home so that they qualify for a $1K bonus. Read the following and if you are in the are and do not have a coin call me and I will be more than happy to give you mine :)

Realtor Bonus Coin

McMillin Homes understands the value of Realtor participation in the home selling process. To show our appreciation to agents & brokers who have sold or will be selling a McMillin Home we are instituting the McMillin Bonus Coin Program.

McMillin Realtor Bonus Coin

Our Sales Team has issued a limited number of ‘Bonus Coins' to the San Antonio Realtor community. The value of each coin is determined by the following schedule:

  • $1,500 Bonus Dollars for the sale of a New Construction or Move-In-Ready Home.
  • Upon issuance of the coin the McMillin Homes team will register the unique serial number to you in our McMillin Bonus Coin database.
  • You may pass your coin to another Real Estate Agent/Broker who is going to participate in the sale of a McMillin Home. You will then earn $500 of the eligible bonus dollars for that sale. The Agent/Broker participating in the sale will earn the remainder of the bonus dollars. Upon completion of the sale your coin will be returned to you.
  • Coin must be turned in at time of contract to be eligible for bonus. Bonus Coin Dollars will be paid upon closing.

Please check your e-mail for exciting updates!

McMillin Homes reserves the right to make changes to the Bonus Coin program as we deem necessary without notice or obligation.

"Ughh!! another house rental I hate doing those, they only pay $100-$200"

To my surprise, I have heard this comment from more than a handful of agents. Yes, that is sad.

Its sad that there are agents out there that do not understand that we became agents to assist people with one of the most important financial decisions of their life. Whether they are renting and we are getting paid $100 or buying and we are getting $3,000 These are people that are trusting us to be the best we can be and with agents out there wih the following attitudes its sad to see, thats not always happening. Suggestion do your research find a good apartment locator that does house rentals and refer him the buisness. Because the other comment just as bad as the first one that I heard, "I only showed him this house because I saw that it had a $500 commission so I didnt mind going out for that"

As sad as the following comment was, the part that is worse is that agents with that attitude do not understand that you have to build your network and clientel in this buisness to be successful. You have to surround yourself around a team of dedicated professionals that have the same philosophy as yourself, And that eventually these prospects that are looking for a house rental will eventually be able to buy a house and if you did the job you signed up to do, you will be there agent. Along with the fact that If they are looking for a place to live they more than likely have a job, full of coworkers that can be referred to you. That is if YOU DID YOUR JOB. Im doing my job so if your in my city and dont want to mess with rentals send them my way. I will take the rental, their friends, coworkers and endless flow of referrals :)

Flea Market?? You've heard of the shoe box of baseball cards. What about the endless flow of clients

Me and my partner were looking at ways to get the word out about the great opportunities out there for first time home buyers, or buyers/investors for that matter. We decided to pay 15 bucks and set up a table at a local flea market. In two days we acquired over 100 contacts and ended up converting 3 into clients/home buyers. It was amazing to find out that over 3/4 of the people we talked to had no Idea about the incentives (8K tax credit) and or amazing deals through programs such as HUD or REO's or Short Sells. So good luck to anyone that wants to join me at the local Flea Market in getting the word out. Any other Ideas would be great too, its kinda hot in Texas at the moment, dont know how many more weekends I can last :)
