I'm sure, if asked, you could name an agent that is difficult to work with. An agent that has a chip on his/her shoulder, who looks at other agents as if the are stealing directly from his/her pocket. Do you know someone who fits this description? Do you fit this description?
This week I took on the responsibility of assisting in mentoring a new agent in our office. Before getting her license she worked as a receptionist in a local real estate office that has a reputation for being difficult to work with. Most agents in this office have a very territorial approach to real estate. They look at other agents as encroaching on their territory. They can only see what might be lost in playing nice with these agents, not what there is to gain.
What do you gain in playing well with others?
A professional reputation for being easy to work with. Having a good reputation gives you a professional advantage over your competition. Other professionals will want to work with you. Buyer's and Seller's will be attracted to your positive attitude. Your business will benefit directly from this attitude.

Counseling Buyers To Be Considerate Of The Sellers Emotions Toward Selling Their Home.
We live in a time when many people are selling their homes not because they're upgrading or moving for their job. Many are selling their homes because the have lost their jobs and can no longer afford the lifestyle the have. These families that worked hard to obtain the dream of home ownership are forced to sell, a lot of times at a loss, due to the current economic situation and less than stellar housing market. These tougher times make it necessary to be over diligent in educating potential home buyers to be considerate in respect to the homeowners emotions in selling their home.

Home buyers must understand that while they look at a property from the cost stand point, to a homeowner this is their home. A home where they may have watched their children grow. A home where they may have said good-bye to a spouse. A home with love and memories. REALTORS© and potential home buyers need to be respectful of this and have tact when critiquing someones home.

Floresville ISD Needs to Rename New Floresville North Campus--Calaveras Campus--Floresville, TX 78114
The 2010 school year will welcome a new elementary school to the Floresville area. This event is highly anticipated and necessary for the growth and development of the Floresville community.
Construction is nearing completion, and the Floresville North campus is looking great, the only change I would like to see is in the name. The new school is in an older area 'historically' known as 'Calaveras' and the school should reflect this in its name.
Calavares was originally established in the early 1860's as 'Wright, TX', originally in part of Bexar county. In 1869 a boundary change placed Calaveras in Northern Wilson county. In 1885 the name was changed to 'Calaveras' with the granting of a post office.
The Floresville ISD should research the area history and rename the Floresville Elementary North Campus the Calaveras Campus to preserve the history of this area.
