Hear the engines roar this weekend in Richmond, Virginia.
I'm excited! Call me a Redkneck if you want but I love NASCAR. I love fast cars! This weekend the boys are in town. Richmond is the last race before the "Chase". The "Chase" is the last 10 races of this season and only the top 12 drivers in points are then competing for the championship.
There is lots of fun things to do before the actual race day. Check the RIR (Richmond International Raceway) website at www.rir.com for details.
Friday, Sept 11 - VA 529 College Savings 250 Starts at 7:30 PM Tickets are $45 for reserved seating and $35 for general admission. Kids under 12 are admitted free with a ticketed adult.
Saturday, Sept 12 - Chevy Rock & Roll 400 Starts at 7:30 PM Check the RIR website for ticket availability
The weather for this weekend is cloudy, possible showers Friday evening. Dress appropriately, wear comfortable shoes to climb the stadium seating and be sure to take or buy when you get there EAR PLUGS! These cars are very loud!
Last but not least - GO JEFF!!! #24

If you are planning a trip abroad, remember starting June 1, 2009, travelers will be required to have a passport. You will need a passport for all foreign countries including countries not previously requiring a passport such as Canada, Bermuda, the Caribbean, Mexico, South and Central America.
Because of these new requirements, the post office in Chesterfield County on Krause Road will be holding a Passport Fair. From 9am til noon, this Saturday, March 28th, if you are in need of a passport you can come by and they will assist you. (I think this sounds like a great time to take care of a sometimes tedious matter. At least they will be prepared for you and hopefully everything will run smoothly and not take long! Then you start packing!)
In order to complete the passport application you will need to supply the following:
-Proof of U S citizenship (previous US passport, US certified birth certificate, certificate of Naturalization or Citizenship)
-Proof of Identity (current driver's license, government or military ID)
Applicants will need to apply in person. Both parents or legal guardians will need to appear with minors under age 16.
Fees:
Applicants 16 years and older - $100
Applicants under 16 years of age - $85
Passport photos will be taken at a cost of $15.
For more information on requirements and the Fair call 706-9281.
Have a safe and fun trip travelers!

Ladies this Friday, February 6, dress up in your favorite red outfit or get on those sexy red high heels and strut your stuff!
The American Heart Association is sponsoring a "Go Red" day this Friday to bring attention and support in the fight against heart disease in women. They are asking all women to join this fight by wearing red. The association also has a website www.americanheart.org you can visit to get more information from healthy living suggestions to making donations.
Taking a brisk 30 minute walk at least five times a week and eating baked instead of fried are easy ways to join this fight and take better care of yourself. As real estate agents, taking that morning walk is a great way to get your day planned out. Your family members, friends and even your clients will appreciate your healthy approach to life!
Have a great "Go Red" Day!
Cindy
