Spotlight on the Green Haus

In our latest video (below) we are taking a look at the "Green Haus" at this years' Parade of Homes.  Builder is Axiom Luxury Homes and we will hear about the Nana Wall from Scott Benedetti and see a demo.  This home features reclaimed timber from Pennsylvania, (we were told came from the floor of a dairy barn, but you'd never know it)  Truly Beautiful old growth timber and a bit of finishing oil and the floor was added to the Green Haus.  We entered barefoot and noticed the smoothness of the floor and the warmth...like being home.  We've all been in homes that when you remove your shoes and once your feet touch the floors (even carpeted ones) many times you will want to put your shoes right back on for comfort; not in here!  It was a treat for our feet!

The entry is a wonderful open floor plan - beautifully incorporating the living area, kitchen and dining areas!  The adjacent wall is a Nana wall and opens up to allow the patio to be incorporated into additional space! The kitchen features stainless steel appliances and stainless steel apron style sink!  Kathryn loved the large refrigerator on one end of the kitchen and the equally sized matching freezer on the other!  A built-in wet bar with wine cooler and ice maker were nice touches too!

This year's Clark County Parade of Homes is being held in the Felida Neighborhood of Vancouver Washington. We've been having fun helping with the preparation for the public event, along with providing a partial video recordings at the location just prior to, and during the event.

This post is a spotlight on the "Hannah Maria" home built by the Barton Brothers. This home is the second one in from the entrance, and immediately makes bold statements with how it sits on the lot, the use of stone and water, and how the home takes advantage of the westerly view.

Inside the home also makes many bold statements, while displaying a lot of "Old World" character.
