Charlotte loves NASCAR® and NASCAR® loves Charlotte. There's a bunch of racing for the cup going on right in our backyard.
On a cool October day, things are heating up for Charlotte NASCAR® fans. The Banking 500 is on for tonight and it should prove to be one heck of a race.
There is a twist in the name of the race from last year’s Bank of America 500. It’s called The Banking 500 (with Bank of America’s logo) I guess BOA is playing this a little low key, (But their logo is there?) Oh well…They paid for it.
All the drivers are ready, as Charlotte is always a favorite location. The vast majority of race teams call the area home.
The new NASCAR® Hall of Fame is also here. So for most of them this is a back yard race.
It is very thrilling to feel and hear the rush of race cars traveling close to 200mph a stone throw away. I have been behind the wheel (at the Petty Race experience) on the speedway track. I was white knuckling it near 150mph and we were the only car on the track.
Our old governor (Easley) even took a shot at this and wrecked a car. So considering these guys go three wide at break neck speeds, it is thrilling to watch.
This may not appeal to all and I guess it’s not supposed to. But If you never have experienced a race in person and are curious .... I Highly Reccommend it !
This is just one of the varied sports venues Charlotte has to offer. Next week, the Carolina Panthers are back in town. And the BOBCATS are playing preseason hoops getting ready for the start of the season. Fall is a great season for area spectator sports.

Well you could see this scenario coming from way back in February. Fortunately, there is a cornucopia of homes here in Charlotte, still nicely priced and available. Unfortunately, we are on the last lap of the race.
Who knows if the government will extend the November 30 deadline? I don’t work well using rumors as a guideline. What I do know is that we are down to the last couple days that are border-line to receive the $8K tax credit. I just got a call yesterday from a very anxious buyer. We are jumping hoops to ensure he can close in time.
Others seeking Charlotte this weekend will be NASCAR® race fans. The Banking 500 will bring the need for speed.
So pick your race this weekend. I will be ready for any last minute Buyer to handle last minute pit manuvers. There definitely will be a winner come Monday morning.

Charlotte real estate-tales of over-enthusiasm...sometimes Localism may have too much fluff. This is not one of them. Call this the "anti-fluff".
It goes something like “our neighborhood is doing great” except, he is one of 5 homeowners in the neighborhood with 100 empty lots and the developer filed chapter 7.
There was a time when 17 out of the nation’s top 20 builders were banging hammers here in the Charlotte area. It was hand over fist as fast as they could put them in the ground.
We heard the cries of caution from out west, but we were unfazed. Why you ask? ... We were Charlotte…a bullet proof sanctuary of unbridled banking. …Then it happened.
Pop! Went our balloon.
Wachovia vaporized into a stagecoach because of an ego driven move to capture
"Golden Ditties" with a moniker of... “pick your payment”.
Dumbest thing I ever heard of. (Mind you, these were supposedly very smart people, the leaders.)
Then BOA decided they could be just as sharp and acquired - Entire Country Mortgage and then bought a "herd of Bulls" that required Uncle Sam to sponsor. No milk from the bulls for Charlotte. Upon the “acquisition”, BOA decided that a substantial portion of its local workforce needed to stay home.... forever. So, 2 of the top 5 banks in the entire U.S, both with headquarters here in Charlotte, the dominant players in the regional market, blew a gasket and left the area feeling like Hurricane Katrina made a pass but left all the buildings standing.
Well the vacuum of lost spending in the local market resulted in 10 of the 17 top national builders to pull stakes and head home ..Pronto. (Though bruises from other markets didn’t help).
We still have major economic players here. (As stated in my recent post.) But, what a body blow from the least likely of assailants.
We are catching our wind now. And although we have taken our sunglasses off because our future not as bright, we still are strategically located regionally in the just the right spot. You know what they say about location and Real Estate.
I guess we endure this “poo-on-the-shoe moment” and find a good scraping place in the woods. The Charlotte area is too dynamic for any more of this. We have the talented workforce and the infrastructure (and hopefully the resolve) to move beyond Golden Ditties and milk-less Bulls.
I might mention that there are some Real Estate deals here that are spectacular. When they say buy low and sell high….now is the time here in Charlotte to buy. Fortunately, you can’t pick your payment any more (And that’s no Bull !) Fortunately the interest rates are good..for now.

When interest rates are below 5%, and you think "when" is the time to buy, Stop. No Thinking required. You'll never get a better deal. Check our website for great bargains
The number one reason I live and love Charlotte N.C. is the People. Southern charm allows the assimilation of many folks from diverse areas (not just the U.S.A) to be welcome into our fair city.
Our diversity is expansive. Name a country or a section of our country, and it seems their heritage is nicely represented. I guess it comes with all the diverse companies here in our region. Most people assume Charlotte = banking jobs. Well it does. Bank of America and Wachovia /Wells Fargo have a huge footprint here. But, that is just the tip. How about the home of power giant Duke Power, semiconductors from a giant Siemens plant, or NASA products from Goodrich , Racing from NASCAR, Textiles from everybody, Retail from Family Dollar, Steel from NUCOR, a strong Microsoft presence, as well as represented IB
M and more and more... We have a huge fortune 500 presence.
This is not just a one stop shop town. Yep, we have a few Bankers (Thank You) But the diversity of jobs in our area exceed beyond the obvious.
Charlotte has been positioned as a natural commerce center because of its location on historic trade routes and the discovery of the U.S. first gold rush in the 1830’s. We minted federal coins here and were the gold rush that preceeded the California gold rush. Yep, there is still gold yet to be mined here in Charlotte. (Unfortunately not in the quantities of old).
Quality of life with all the new construction, new infrastructure, and people makes the daily view of Charlotte sharp. Amenities abound. And recreational opportunities exist to satisfy even the fussiest of pleasure seekers. Make the trip to the National White Water
Center to see a man-made wonder that World Olympic kayakers seek to compete upon. Hit a mega theme park at Carowinds. Sit and watch the home of NASCAR teams, its Speedway area tracks, shopping ar Concord Mills, incredible venues and its brand new museum uptown Charlotte. Listen and watch world class classical Music and Dance at the Blumenthal. Watch playoff NFL Carolina Panther football and feel the zest of NBA Charlotte Bobcat basketball. Concerts flow at the Verizon Amphitheater with top notched talent or at the Bobcat’s Arena uptown. There is Culture, Trendy night spots, Great Restaurants, and fun to be had throughout the area. Don’t forget to the Carolina BBQ. Hmm, Hmm, Good!
Not enough? Zip to the Smoky Mountains in an easy Sunday ride or clamor for sandy beaches on the Carolina shores just a couple hours away.
You said I want fresh water and great recreational lakes? Look no further than the splendor of Lake Wylie and Lake Norman.
They are the best fresh water Lakes in the entire region for fun, relaxation, great boating, as well as, a spot for the professional Bass Fishing in BASS® national tournaments.
We have over a million people that call our beautiful area home and they do it with glee.
How are the prices on Real Estate you ask? Just as good as is gets. Bang for your buck is resonating in this present market. There are truly fantastic deals at all price levels. We seem to be in a buyers market of note.
What about the Schools? The Charlotte Mecklenburg School system has envious leadership and has a couple schools that rank in the top 50 in the U.S. We have a strong reputation of quality education that ranks among the best.
Summarizing, I would place Charlotte as a destination city with many keen attributes. With expansive miles of Greenways, to include numerous miles of fantastic walking and recreational trails, dotted with beautiful parks filled with wildlife nestled in just about everywhere. Charlotte is a visual resort. Friendly people newly mingle to a newly minted light railTrain to uptown for commuter traffic, extensive roadway systems, and people that love our newly crafted city, we have much to be proud of and much to look forward to. Charlotte is a great place to live. Don't forget the great newly built Charlotte Homes for Sale in this market. All will amaze you on the the value, price and affordability. We have a place to live and a destibation to call home. Wht are you doing?

The fun of Shopping and Selling starts at our Website. It will become your Tool Box for all your Charlotte Real Estate needs
The time to make things happen is ….NOW !
There has never been a better time to find deals in the Charlotte Real Estate market or many others that have lengthy financial weight. There are times when people look back in history and remember out loud “Wow if had only bought back then, I’d be in great shape today.”
Welcome to your world of promise!
Markets will always flex in scope, but if you have the option and guts to buy in this present market … the future is yours.
Look, there is money to borrow and at a rate that stuns historical levels. (If you have the credit score). Additionally, reverses in market prices have made resale’s cheaper than building new construction.
Buy low-sell high. Uptown Charlotte real estate is the steal of the day! Remember this date and remember that you may never see interest rates this low coupled with low prices. Rates cannot stay at this level. Watch the dollar as it trades in currency markets. Inflation is sure on the horizon.
The housing market will rebound in some manner, but interest rates will no doubt push everything. People will always need a roof over their head. We continue to reproduce and gain members of our tribe. We will always need housing. The thing is …inflation will begin to creep to a toxic level making the affordable unaffordable. Anyone remember 1979 with interest rates at 18%. I see déjà vous all over again.
No crystal ball or cattle prod will move the unwilling. But for the fence sitters …My goodness …It don’t get any better than this buyers market.

Wanting and Doing are measured by your resolve. Nike has a logo that says simply..Just Do It .
