Huntersville real estate was (and still is) sought out due to its great schools and its ideal location. Back in 1990, Huntersville was just a sleepy little town of 3,000. Now (in 2009), it has a population of over 43,000.
What's the draw? A few things: Huntersville is just 15 miles north of Charlotte and just 18 miles northeast of the Charlotte-Douglas Airport. It's nestled in between Lake Norman and the city of Charlotte. In real estate location is king, but, other elements must exist for such continued growth. And Huntersville has the other elements. It offers all the amenities of city life, from business parks to bistros, and housing to health care-all beautifully packaged amongst tree lined, side walked communities.
If you are shopping for a home in Charlotte, you may want to check out Huntersville NC real estate. Over two-thirds of the residents have come from out of state (relocations) since 1995. The major employers in the area include Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Lowes, Nucor, Goodrich, and NASCAR (Joe Gibbs Racing). Another major employer is Presbyterian Hospital-with its new state of the art ($56 million) facility located on N.C 73 at I-77 in Huntersville.
The median family income here is $90,000 with 49% of adults having a bachelor's degree or higher. To top it off, Forbes' recently ranked Huntersville #2 in its top 25 for America's Most Affordable Places to Live. If the county was folded in half, you would see a distinct likeness of South Charlotte arising. This one is much easier on the budget. The median Huntersville home for sale price is $231,400.
Newcomers can choose from a broad range of Huntersville homes for sale. From new construction, in family-friendly neighborhoods with sidewalks and bike trails-like the neighborhoods of Cedarfield Plantation and Wynfield Forest. Offering access to the Torrence Creek Greenway, Community Pools, Swim Teams, Tennis Courts, Playgrounds...even Basketball and Volleyball courts in Wynfield!
Nearby Macaulay, is a bit newer. You’ll find some beautiful Huntersville real estate in this development. Macaulay features some fine home designs from the national builders of Ryland Homes, Shea, D.R. Horton and St. Lawrence Homes. The amenities here include park areas, a quaint town square, a clubhouse, playground, pool, tennis courts, walking trails and a small pond.
Adjacent to the community of Macaulay is the Birkdale Country Club. This offers custom homes wrapped around the 18-hole Arnold Palmer semi-private golf course, as well as Birkdale Village homes. This is a master-planned community and does include a resort style Junior Olympic pool, a children’s splash pool, two playgrounds, park areas, tennis courts, and a beach volleyball court. Two other beautiful choices to shop for Huntersville real estate in golf course communities include Northstone Country Club (private) and Skybrook Golf Club (semi-private).
Birkdale Village (a national design concept award winner) is also located in Huntersville. It includes apartments and offices above the captivating Nantucket-style shopping center’s quaint central square. The allure of top line local boutiques, and national chains is hard to resist. Sprinkled into the mix are many fine eateries, including the Cork & Bottle (a wine bar), Maddie's Southern Bistro, Dressler's (upscale dining), eeZ Fusion & Sushi bar, ice cream shops, pizza parlors, bookstores and a very popular 16 screen stadium-seating movie theater. Sculpted shrubbery and shaded benches and the village fountain, are all designed to leave you quite enamored with The Birkdale Village shopping center and Huntersville.
So if you are looking for quaint with style and nearby Lake Norman activites wrapped with a bow. Huntersville is a great place to live

Mexico and parts of Texas are in a drought, and so was my mind when it came to football. Thankfully football arrived on schedule, on time, and within my budget.
I know some crowds do not revere the onset of football (pro and college combined) as a significant point on the calendar, but I do. Yes I appreciate baseball, fine sport. But my hat’s off to football.
I care if my teams win or lose. But even if they lose, I like the contest anyway. Sure I’ll scream at plays that should have been better or “gone our way”. But the significant fact is that the games are in motion and my teams are in play. Let the Fall ritual begin!
Tail gating, great food, screaming fans, usher in an air of excitement. Here in Charlotte we love our Panthers and tailgating is a sport in and of it's own. Nothing moves fans like the wins and losses of their team.
The point of this is to acknowledge the beginning of the season and welcome the end of a drought.
So in preparation, I have replaced the batteries in my remote and dusted off the big screen. The command post chair has been cleaned and all are ready for action.

Charlotte Homes for Sale are priced at an irrestible point. And Fall in Charlotte has such irresistable weather too!
So how hard is it to coax any male (or female) to have a Beer while chomping down on Superb Southern Barbeque, while listening to great music? If it gets any better let me know ‘cause this uptown Charlotte festival is a hit for everyone that takes the light rail ride to Blues, Brews, and Barbeque
What is unique to this festival is the ease to which folks happily embrace it. I mean how hard is it to get the average guy to get fired up to go on a family event that places awesome pork barbeque and a beer in your hands. Throw some great national music as a backdrop and you have a real winner.
We in Charlotte have a vibrant social network of fun events, but this one rises to the top.
Ride the train and skip the parking. Sip a brew and listen to the Blues. And chomp down on the best BBQ the planet has to offer…..all at the same time.
Is the an over sell?….I think not, ‘cause the cost of admission is free…
Free admission is a hearty cause to check this event out. And Sunday the Panthers play. So we have an Uptown BBQ party coupled with a Pro Football game. Somebody tackle me… This is too cool

This Labor Day weekend, you don't need to leave home to enjoy your holiday, that's if your home is in Charlotte NC.
Here in Charlotte your choices are varied and you won't need to break the bank to enjoy local fun. Are you a boat person? You are in luck. Charlotte has 2 beautiful lakes that allow great fishing, boating and swimming in Lake Norman and Lake Wylie. A smaller lesser known lake can be found at Cane Creek Park. With volleyball courts, picnic areas, horseshoe set ups...fishing, a small beach, and just on the edge of Charlotte into Union County.
Something more adventurous awaits you at the National Whitewater Center. This is the first (and only) one of its kind in the United States. Head over here for an exhilarating ride down world class rapids in this unique man-made wonder. Crafted with an eye as the training grounds for the U.S. Olympic kayakers. This place is just too cool and sure to leave an adrenline filled memory. It also offers rock climbing and mountain bike trails.
For the screamer in you-release your stress on the roller coasters at nearby Carowinds. Carowinds has a venue that woos theme park aficionados from around the south. It has a good half dozen roller coasters as well as rides for all ages. And if its gets a little hot ...there is a water park inside the theme park to cool you off. This is a place that will not only meet, but exceed, your expectations.
If you haven't been Uptown lately, give it a whirl. You may find that you no longer
recognize it! Explore the Charlotte museums, sidewalk bistros, shops, and fine dining. High rises abound. Top off your excursion with some late night action at the new Epicenter. Dance till your feet hurt as music from fabulous venues keeps you moving from one hot spot to another.
That's racin'. How 'bout it? Take a few laps behind the wheel of a real race car at Lowes Motor Speedway. Yes you can have the thrill of NASCAR first hand at the same track the pros run. This is a very cool experience and one you will never forget. Got kids? Across the street, is the new dirt track...perfect for popping your eardrums and dusting your kids up with some good ol' Carolina red clay!
The city of trees...Charlotte is dotted with many pretty parks that are perfect for picnics and Frisbees. Shade trees and burgers grilling with friends and family are sure to lower anyone's blood pressure..and right now, our weather is not too cold, not too hot...it's absolutely, just right.
There is so much more. My point is that there is much available here that traveling away from Charlotte for a vacation on Labor Day needs to be reconsidered. How about a Stay-cation?

And if you think Charlotte's venues for fun are eye catching..You ought to see the deals on Real Estate. Check out our Website for all the inside information. It will become your tool box for all your home buying and home selling needs
The school bell rings Tuesday 8/25 for Charlotte Mecklenburg school children. The end of summer bliss and frivolity comes crashing down on North Carolina’s largest school district.
Wow! Summer’s gone. The routine begins again. Yes there is a quickie weekend consuming Labor Day, but for all accounts …Game over.
So is it over? Not completely! Summer is fading; cash for clunkers is over...but the $8,000 is not over...however, it is almost over. If you still want a house, it can still be done… and you can still get that $8k tax credit as well, you bet!
Ok, the lazy days of summer kept you from making your move to home ownership. Let the school bells awake your urgency-don't miss this bus-it may only come once.
Allow the bus to pick your children up and and then you pick yourself up and get on with a new home purchase! If you're in Charlotte, you can start shopping on our Website.
Are you still here? Well get into gear. It takes but a day to get Cash For Clunkers. Of course that day is now done and gone. It takes a good SIX WEEKS to close on a house. If the keys aren't in your hand on November 30, 2009...that deal will be gone too. $8,000...and the early bird wins again! In December you will have no excuse…Just a Lament. 90 days is all you have. Tic-Toc.
