Tornados everywhere.

Tornados everywhere.

Here are a few photo's of some of the damage to the Little Rock Air Force Base.

With all the damage, it's hard to imagine the feelings of those who lost their homes.

I hope their home owners policies were paid up. I want to send out a "Prayer of hope" to the Joplin Mo. families that have lost someone in the latest storms and tornadoes. I know help is there as they search for love ones still missing. I know all members of Active Rain are prating for you all involved in the recent storms across America.

So now that we have bought our new house

We don't feel like a louse

With all the rent over the years

Landlords take your money and just don't care

The garden is growing and the fence is mended

We are right on track as we intended

With the remodeling of the master bath

With a tub with feet and made of cast

It looks great but can't figure out

How to get a shower curtain to go around

We looked and looked and did decide

Now the "Big Box" store we'll go inside

We found what we wanted and went back home

I installed the curtain, a problem no more

Now I want to tile the floor

Something that all would adore

Now back to the "Big Box" one more time

Installed the tiles, man do they shine

Now my "Honey do list" is getting longer

But she needs to get cooking, I'm feeling hunger

Buying a home, (a poem on Active Rain)

Buying a home, (a poem on Active Rain)

It was a warm summers evening

When the wife and I started believing

We could now own our own abode

Three bedroom 2 bath and a little more

We don't need too much

But we do need room for the "hutch"

So Monday morning nice and early, we started

Owning our own home, we felt light hearted

We looked everywhere even on the net

To see what type of house we could get

I talked to the bank and they told me

I need to get qualified with a "PRE"

So I got them all the numbers

And found out I had a blunder

My credit was "weak". What are we to do

We are good people, were no fools

The banker said not to worry

He could help us out, in a hurry

We found a Realtor with all the experience we needed

A well dressed man with pants that were pleated

With his help we got our home

Now I recommend you call him on the phone

We bought the home and now all is great

I've mended the fence and replaced the gate

We've started a garden, way out in the back

After paying "rent for years" I thought "What the heck"

First time home buyers, take note.

First time home buyers take note.

There are a lot of "incentives out there for the "first time home buyers".

The first thing to take note on is you don't have to actually be a first time home buyer. By this I mean that if you have not owned a home in the past "three years" then you can qualify for a "first time home buyer incentives". The good thing is that there is even down payment assistance available for the first time home buyers.

Contact your local Realtor offices and see how you can get these incentive for your advantage and let the local Realtors help you make your home ownership come true.

And when you do decide to buy a home. Don't forget to get a "Home Inspection".

This is for your own peace of mind and to help you make the right decision for the home you want to purchase.

If you have any questions about Home inspections you can contact me.

Best of luck in home shopping.

Pay it forward. Helping others.

I was at the gas station yesterday when a man came up to the truck and asked if he could "borrow a dollar". I'm thinking about "yeah right" he probably want to but beer with it.

So I asked "If I give you a dollar, what are you going to buy with it"?

His reply was " I'm a little short to get my daughter a sandwich to eat",

"Your daughter"? "yes" then he pointed back to the side of the store where she was sitting.

Now this man had looked like he was in need of a bath and a lot of "other things" too.

I asked "Where do you live" He said around the corner with his mom. I told him to "wait there and I would get some change".

I went inside and purchased three sandwiches and three drinks. I gave them to the man an told him to give one to his mother as well.

As if here was a "parting of the seas" it felt really good to help someone with the simplest of things like getting something to eat.

I did give him the dollar too.

Maybe they will eat tomorrow as well.

Clint.
